I fell in love with westerns at an early age. The good guy versus the bad, the thrill of gunfights at High Noon. I'm an avid fly fisherman and a self-confessed rugby nut. Family is important to me and they're the driving force and inspiration behind my books. I have also recently tried my hand at a fantasy novel, which was a lot of fun. Daemon Queller is also available on Amazon and this is going to be an exciting fantasy series.

I grew up reading Westerns and there's always been something fascinating about a hero riding into town, righting the wrongs, and then riding off into the sunset. Cowboys are the knights of the US landscape. They slay the dragons in many forms and then continue on with their quest.

I write for the enjoyment of it, and to bring some fun and excitement to my readers, and I'm looking forward to continuing the journey with them over the years to come. If you like realistic heroes, action, adventure, and a few laughs, then keep on reading my books. I have a Facebook page titled Chris Smith - Author so please feel free to reach out if you'd like to chat, or look for me on LinkedIn, under Chris Smith - Author.

Blood on the Range by Christopher Smith is set in Santa Fuelo where we meet Nate, Old Man O’Connell and his daughter Bridget, the good guys. We then are introduced to the villains, the Tunnleys – dad Ryker, his son Ben, nephew Lolly and their sidekicks. Nate has moved from place to place until he gets to know Bridget, then his plans change and he wants to own a ranch and make a life with her. Ben also is interested in Bridget and is not happy to have to compete with Nate. Ryker’s only wish in life is to acquire the O’Connell ranch, its cattle, and its great water holes. Very quickly the war is on between these two groups and anything goes. Men are killed and hurt on both sides, cattle are stolen, gunfights are common and more before the final showdown.

A true Old West cowboy story. I am a great fan of the western genre and Blood on the Range did not disappoint. I held my breath through the danger, enjoyed the romance and booed the bad guys. Christopher Smith is a very talented author who made the story and each of the characters come alive for me. Blood on the Range will take you back to the days of the 1880s and you will have no doubt about what life was like in the ‘Good Ole Days’. If you like reading about the Wild West and cowboys, then you cannot pass this one by. It is not only a great book but I believe it would also be a great movie.
