"Jed Walker is right there in Reacher's rear-view mirror." -- Lee Child

Dr James Phelan is the award-winning author of 30 books, including thrillers, young adult, and middle grade fiction. As a teenager James discovered a love of thrilling stories, of being entertained, kept on the edge of your seat, and informed along the way. While still in high school, James developed the idea that would become his first published novel, FOX HUNT (Hachette). James has been a full-time novelist since the age of 25, and has sold over five million of copies of his books around the world.

He has written four series of novels ranging from primary school to middle-grade aged readers with THE LAST THIRTEEN (Scholastic), the ALONE (Lothian) trilogy for teens, and fast paced thrillers such as THE SPY and THE AGENCY (Hachette). He has written a non-fiction book of author interviews, LITERATI (John Wiley), and a book about Donald Trump - which, legally, he cannot yet talk about. Since 2006 he has developed both his own material and original work for film and television for some of the biggest Hollywood studios.

James has a passion for promoting literacy. After studying architecture, he turned to literature, obtaining an MA and then a PhD in Literature. He spent two years as an architect on the Federation Square design team, and five years as a staff writer at The Age newspaper. James is noted for a fast paced and suspenseful writing style that appeals as much to boys as girls. James is a highly entertaining and engaging speaker who has delivered keynotes and presentations for all age groups all around the world, and divides his time between Australia and the USA.

"James Phelan is one of the hottest thriller writers to arrive on the scene in years. His hero, Lachlan Fox, is just the kind of gritty man the world needs in a time of crisis." -- Vince Flynn

"Drawn to a keen edge, smart, resilent Lachlan Fox is a tough, savvy hero who takes the reader on a fast and furious ride through a complicated maze of timely political intrigue. James Phelan has earned a new avid fan." -- Steve Berry

"James Phelan has produced a big, juicy, rollicking tale in the spirit of Robert Ludlum. We haven't seen an international thriller like this for a long time. Let's hope Lachlan Fox is planning on getting into more trouble in the near future!" --Jeffery Deaver

"Insider secrets and violent power plays fuel the exciting new international thriller by James Phelan. From dark alleys to elite board rooms, this tale will rivet you with its fresh take on global politics and the fascinating men and women who pull the strings." -- Gayle Lynds
