I like Jill Shalvis’ books. I haven’t read a single one that disappoints.
The story of a struggling interior decorator, her twin and her meddling mother is extremely well written.

Rather choppy and disappointing. I don't care for the h or the H(he's more likable than she is) much at 20%.Reviewed in the United States on 20 July 2018
Ok, normally I love love love this author's style and I own most of her books already with another on preorder for the upcoming release this year. This must have been a reprint of an early work, or something. I'm at 20% of the book and there is much that has been skipped over in character development and storyline. Very frustrating read so far, it's very choppy and unpolished. I don't like either main character enough to want to keep reading, but I hate giving up on books and not finishing them. We'll see, another chapter or two is all I'll give it to redeem itself. What is really frustrating, is that I can see how this could be a very charming storyline, with great character possiblities and humorous situations, the possibilities are all here, it's just that the delivery has been very disappointing thus far. Just seems like the whole story is being sputtered out, in incomplete thoughts and only parts of it are being told. I didn't totally tank the score, but it's close. I do regret spending $ on it at this point. The Lucky Harbor series (my fave in this series is book #10,"It's in his kiss".), Heartbreaker Bay, Cedar Ridge, Animal Magentism, and Baseball novels were all great! I recommend any of those books over this one.

This book was such a disappointment. No character development, no plot development, no conflict. Nothing. If I'd had to guess without knowing where it came from, I'd say the story was written by middle school girls for titillation. Yes, it's that sad.
