Sharpe) as their guide. The five spelunkers abseil into the deep mouth of the cave as a storm approaches, none are worried by the forecast, knowing they will be safe underground. But when the caves are flooded, they become disoriented and tensions rise as they struggle to find a way out. But dank air and rising water are the least of their worries, as they discover the storm as also brought in a hungry and territorial predator.

Five friends exploring a remote cave system in Northern Australia find themselves threatened by a hungry crocodile.
Black water Abyss is a decent entry into the big killer crocodile genre, its more believable as a movie because its more grounded in that the situation the characters are in is realistic, the movie is very much like the Decent but instead of freaks that live underground in caves its a hungry giant crocodile that's defending its territory from the cave investigating youngsters, the movie is very claustrophobic, lots of crawling through uncharted tunnels and under water, if you don't like that sort of thing then its quite intense. most of the movies thrills come from being trapped in an extreme situation, the croc looks really good, the effects are descent, there's some blood here and there but the movie serves more as a thriller more than horror. The cast is good all round, the music score is good and adds to the thrills. Overall its a fun monster thriller that will have some people on the edge of their seat. Worth a watch.
The Blu-ray looks good in HD, this movie is only available on DVD in the UK.
