Product description

"I was introduced to Marliss Melton and her Warriors of York series when I found Slayers Redemption while searching for a good book to read. I was wonderfully surprised when I found that I really loved the book. I went searching for the next book in the series that was listed in the back. I wanted to know what happened to wild little Merry. I started reading and could not quit. Since then I have read the book a second time. Merry is such a little hellion it takes a specific kind of hero to tame her. Luke is that man. He is a knight and is so honorable that Merry gives him a real "run for his money" . He is torn between his feelings for Merry and his duty to his king and his grandfather. I love this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great medieval romance. It can be read as a stand alone or after Slayers Redemption for more background. Anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. I received a pre-release copy of this book to read and I am leaving my honest review of it." --Amazon "This story is about Merry, who having been accused as a witch by the Prioress, because of her skills with herbs and flowers, and because the woman has it in for her, she is plucked from the stake by handsome Luke (the Phoenix), the King's most trusted warrior and grandson to the Earl of Arundel. Follow them as Luke tries to protect her from the Church, whilst trying not to jeopardize his inheritance. A thrilling adventure from start to finish, loved this and I couldn't put it down. I'm so looking forward to reading book 3 in the series, grab your copy now, I think you'll like it." --Amazon --This text refers to the paperback edition.

About the Author

Marliss Melton is the author of two seemingly disparate genres-medieval historical romance and military romantic suspense. Yet she creates a common theme in all her stories: Men of Valor, Women of Strength. Daughter of a U.S. foreign officer, Marliss grew up overseas. Exposure to different languages led her to teach high school English, Spanish, and-her favorite subject-History of the English Language, which she taught at the College of William and Mary, her alma mater. Marrying into the military, Marliss Melton's love of British history existed side-by-side with her appreciation for the selfless sacrifices of the military community. These interests inspired her to pen romantic suspense featuring U.S. Navy SEALs, and historical romance with richly imagined medieval warriors and intriguing damsels.
