Product Description

Two dominant males, two worthy adversaries, in a business that takes no prisoners, will soon learn that fate refuses to be ignored . . .

My name is Troy Babilonia, but I'm best known as Babu, a renowned literary critic with my own online column. I'm followed by thousands! I'm a living god in the literary world. I have no filter, and for that, my flock of humble followers are forever grateful. If it weren't for me, they wouldn't know what to read. I have zero tolerance for the weak-minded attention seekers, nor do I have respect for the self-proclaimed geniuses of the Indie world. My advice to all Indie authors is to never break the cardinal rule in this cut-throat business. Ever.

My name is L. Blackburn and I'm an Indie author. My extraordinary genius was loved and worshiped throughout the literary world, until one egocentric critic tried to obliterate my career. It seems I broke some "cardinal rule," and now I'm paying the price for it. But I don't plan on going down without a fight.

If you know me, you know how difficult is for me to write a review, that is why I don’t write them very often, but…. For this book…. I would definitely try.

This was my first M/M read and I didn’t know what to expect, this book was amazing, it has everything I like in a book, alpha, sexy and dominant male (this one has 2), it’s romantic, it made laugh, sometimes it broke my hart, and I got angry.

I want to be honest, I didn’t like the behavior of the MC characters at the beginning of the book but at the same time this kept me interested to see what they were going to do next.

And as the story continues, I came to know Larson and Troy as they really are, and what made them be that way, their struggles and how they became after resolving their issues.
On most of the books I read there is always my favorite character but on Black Balled, sometimes it was Larson and other times was Troy.

I didn't want to write a summary, but as I’m writing this review, I feel the need to write about some scenes, one scene just blow me away, it takes place at an elevator, also there is one scene with an “escort” and some scenes that were very emotional and broke my hart.
I also loved how they discovered who they are not just sexually but in every way and learned to accept themselves and be happy.

This is one of the most amazing books I have read, I couldn’t put it down but I wanted to savor every little detail.

I would definitely recommend this book, it will stay in my mind and in my hart for a very long time.

To me, Black Balled is a flawless read. From the amazing character development to the unique storyline, it hit all of my requirements to make it the perfect M/M book in this genre.

Despite the rumors and all of the unnecessary controversy, this book is a modern love story between two strong willed and dominant men who were meant to find one another and, the way in which they did was fantastic, maybe even epic! This is also a book about finding and accepting yourself and learning to accept love when you least expect it and from a person you more than least expect. I went through a lot of different emotions while reading this book. I laughed (a lot), I cried and I seriously swooned for both H’s, Troy and Larson. But, if you think that the H’s are anything alike, you couldn’t be more wrong (well, with the exception of being alpha males). Although this is a love story, it doesn’t start out that way. The complete opposite, in fact. There is no insta love here, but a whole lot of insta lust and crazy hot sex scenes that will leave you wishing it was you in between them. Three words: “That bloody elevator.” Yes, that bloody elevator indeed. Just think of the yummy things that can happen in tight, closed spaces!

Not only are we graced with two delicious H’s, but two incredible authors, Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir, who brought both of their characters together as seamlessly as if it was just one author writing. A truly impressive feat and one that I believe is quite extraordinary.

Black Balled is an absolutely phenomenal and mind-blowingly naughty read. Trust me, you have to experience this book for yourself. I could not possibly give it a higher recommendation.

*I received an ARC from the authors in exchange for an honest review

This book has a lots of twists in it, from law suits, exes, sexual discovery and two hot headed males in the middle of it. Love the chapter from Muffy's viewpoint - Babu's neighbour’s cat that he sneaks caviar to. Another fun chapter from Babu's neighbour Ida on perspective of what goes on between these two dominant men.
It starts off with Babu's Book Talk column and the criticism of L Blackburn’s book. After seeing the review all Larson wants to do is respond to the review and not politely but is talked out of it by his agent but as their conversation continues Larson cuts the phone call sort and does answer that review and the response is priceless.
Babu sends and email with a video attachment to which Larson responds with a picture and so the game between the two begins, although in Larson's response he neglects to tell Babu just how turned on he was by the video. Larson's agent Brent although he did try to tell Larson to not respond to the review then has to tell him that his sales have been skyrocketing since the whole incident.
The twists start with Babu receiving and interesting phone call and Larson receiving a letter from his ex-wife. The book continues with lawsuits, journeys of discovery and realisation of love.
Babu and Larson both attend a book signing where they have to dress up as characters from the book world. Larson ends up taking a woman to his room and Babu tries to dodge his date Noelle. Larson is getting hot with the woman he picked up from the bar in the elevator when they are interrupted by the man in a costume with a long nose.
