A Dark BDSM Space Tale!

It was an interesting beginning..5 earth girls survive a crash landing on a planet belonging to the Pra'kir.
They're a people ruled by absolute laws...everyone is guilty..its just of how guilty they are.!
I did enjoy the world building..I was surprised when the story turned into a BSDM type story..
Brinley doesn't really seem to enjoy what he does to her.. It's defiantly a dark Stockholm syndrome type of "love" story!
It's a series with the other girls having to be broken to the society they find themselves in.

I have to warn readers that this is a very addictive series. It is not for the fainthearted but is really hot. The characters are well written and the described. The story line is very done and very enjoyable. There are some disciplinary spankings and hot spicy sex. There are also hot aliens! There is also love and caring but not as expected. I highly recommend it and I am really looking forward to the next one!

I have to laugh at the range of reviews written about this book. I've read 5 of the 6 books in this series and I've actually returned to this one to reread sections that pertain to characters in the other books. Unlike some reviewers, I liked Rowth for the same reasons that other reviewers disliked the character. It is most certainly a matter of taste and each reader's history definitely influences how they approach any given book. To some, it's rape. To others, it's dubcon and yet to others it is a true D/s relationship with the power going to the sub.

Whatever your opinion, I believe that this story is worth the read. Maren Smith makes you feel and I know that I appreciate an author that can do that. The entire series, no matter the author (they are done under different names), you'll see that these erotic romance stories are truly out of this world.

This author does an incredible job writing; story line, character development, and sentence structure are all tight and well done. This book grabs your from sentence one. I loved every character in it. The only thing that I had an issue with, and for me it made the story not as wonderful as I would have liked, was the Edge Play. I wish there had been a small blurb about it. I am not into pain, and though it was well done and pertinent to the story it is somewhat of a turn-off for me. But that is just me, and I am obviously not in the majority. If you like a lot of pain with your sex, then this book is definitely for you. If not, it will cast a pall on the incredible writing for you.

Really not my cup of tea, perhaps... don't laugh, with ANY character development or maybe some plot arc, it would be at least a story. Hiding in a sci-fi cover, it's dominance. No, not a power exchange, a straight out, no after care need apply, very little done w what could actually be a storyline w legs, sex and serial sexual assault she's supposed to suddenly like with zero explanation of why or how she would. Very few will find it hot, but some may. Don't get it unwarned. And for those looking for really dirty gritty... it will disappoint as well. Too MUCH talking and unhelpful storyline in the way. Sorry, author, it's a miss for most of us.
