1st story: Mistaken Identity..
{{{POSSIBLE SPOILERS}}}
Twin sisters separated at childhood....one (Leah), conservative and proper and the other (Susan), a worldly and wild pop star who wants to marry her “one true love”, Spiros. Except her true loves family won’t have it! Enter the good twin, Leah, to masquerade as the wild sister and keep the family busy so Susan and Spiros can elope without interference. Enter Alex Kristidis (Spiro’s older/wiser, arrogant and condescending wealthy brother), to stop them.

This was a pretty good story told in 3rd person, dual POV’s, but BIG problem....there wasn’t any character descriptions. Well except for height. We’re never even told their ages for Pete’s sake! And I dunno about you, but I’m one of those weird, finicky readers that need visuals to connect. I mean, devote a couple of paragraphs of details so I can visualize the main characters, for cripes sake. By chapter 3, we finally get eye color, that changes towards the end of the story (with explanation). By ch. 8 we finally get hair color. Ch.8!! And these chapters are LONG! Ever watch a movie without once getting a good look at the main characters? It’d be like that. Anyway, this first story is a decent, rom/dram suspense with some good controversy. It was drawn out and built up to a wonderful and thrilling screaming crescendo...and then a rushed, anti-climactic, disappointing ending.

2nd story: Echo's of the Heart..★★★
A small town rife with gossip---a young woman born on the wrong side of the tracks marrying into wealth---her wealthy evil husband, Lloyd Bennett, committing suicide, purposely implicating her. Scandal galore. This was an easy story of Amanda Bennett being blackmailed by Lloyd, into upholding a contract full of false claims even from his grave. She’s abused and manipulated and forced to stay silent. And Jake Formosa who loved and adored her then felt betrayed by her and sided with her false accusers. Full of false assumptions, lies and misunderstandings, Jake and Amanda are separated for two years before seeing each other again...each bitterly blaming the other with accusations of betrayal while Lloyd manipulated them from the grave.

This story started out with a 5 star studded bang but quickly began to level out and mellow into a 3-4 star romantic drama. Both main character descriptions were strong and I liked them both... but even though they held my attention, I never connected with them. As the story progressed, Jake deteriorated from a strong and powerful alpha male to someone who spewed silly/corny dialogue and wept too easily. It didn't fit. Like the first story in this 3-set of books, I enjoyed the dramatic plot until Jake lost his strong, macho appeal. It has great controversy. I enjoyed it up until the disappointing ending that fizzled.

3rd story: Roses for Sophie..★★★★
With a playboy rep., Logan Jackson is hardly the type to raise a 5 y/o little girl...not with his immoral lifestyle. He's the godfather to his deceased best friends daughter, who has been left to him to raise, pending court ruling. Logan is forced to straighten up his life to provide a safe and healthy environment for a child. He decides he needs a temporary marriage "deal" to prove to the the Courts that he's cleaned up his rep. He has no interest in long term commitment.

Sophie Hamilton comes from one of the wealthiest families in Australia. She's a sophisticated, stunning beauty who has zero interest in marriage...temporary or not. But...she needs a temporary love interest to keep her matchmaking g'father happy and to gain his approval to take over management of his Corporation.

I liked this wonderful rom/dram of two people who, each for their own reasons, never want to marry....yet needs the other on a contracted/temporary basis. Two people who love a challenge and become friends and eventually, lovers. I liked how this author played this story. Two like minded people...both wealthy and well known. Both know who the other is by reputation and same social circles, but they've never met before and don't recognize the other right away. Both needing something from the other without strings, and both fighting the bond that grows between them. I liked how, even though they'd never met, they know almost everything about the other already. I especially loved their accidental, mistaken identity, meeting. Superb set up and execution of the scene. I loved how the tables are turned on Logan...how he meets his match. The equivalent of himself in business...and he wants more. I loved Sophie...she's strong, smart and independent. She doesn't grovel and she doesn't chase men. For me, this story was the best plot of the three stories. Well thought out and the ending was great. Steam isn't overplayed; adult language is minimal; character details are semi-strong except we're never told the ages of our protagonists and I didn't like that... but the writing is superb.
