I didn’t think Max Monroe could get any funnier but they have. I laughed out loud for at least half of this book. I wish Greer is based of someone IRL because she would be hilarious. If you like Max Monroe you will love this book. If you haven’t tried them yet and need something funny I highly recommend this book.
Such a fun book to read, the palpable chemistry between Greer & Trent was fantastic. Greer's sarcasm and quick wit stole the show, as did Trent's mezmerising green eyes. Another great read from Max Monroe! Thanks ladies :)
This was a hilarious and totally entertaining read. Greer Hudson is wonderful, real and totally likeable. She’s beautiful and smart, sassy and sarcastic, outrageous and unfiltered. She meets a man who is a little bit condescending and her big mouth gets her in trouble. Now he’s her boss from hell, Trent Turner. There is no love lost between these two, they totally despise each other and they clash constantly. Finding out he was her new boss was bad enough but then she finds out that he’s also her new neighbour. As in same building, same floor, sharing a wall between their side-by-side apartments kind of neighbour. Their chemistry is smouldering once they stop despising each other. He gets over the fact that her acerbic comments aren’t only directed at him, he realises that her sass and sarcasm are two of his favourite things about her. And they’re hurtling to a place of being so much more than friends...
And ladies, I gotta say - you had me a Thatch's prologue lol.
I loved the snark and banter between Greer and Trent. It is sizzling with tension, and you just know that they are going to break and it will be all on.
I freaking love love love the New Orleans setting, it is one of the cities I have enjoyed the most on my USA adventure, and reading about NOLA makes me want to go back.
There are great secondary characters. Now, I have terrible bookzheimer's, so I can't remember - have we met Quince and Emory (Greer's best friend) before? They feel familiar, but who knows, I could be imagining them!
I really, really, really need Cap's story in my hands too. He is kind of like Thatch Jr, and I want more.
Sweet, tender, frustrating, The Billionaire Boss Next Door had a bit of everything, and I hope we get more them in the future.
I'm always keen to jump into another Max Monroe book, and I was interested to see what this would be like, being another Billionaire themed book. It took a little to warm up for me, around the 20% mark is when I really started to think things were picking up, and was finding myself invested in the story.
I liked both main characters reasonably well, and I liked both Quincy and Cap, but I'm still unsure how I feel about Emory. This one wasn't as much humour as usual for a Max Monroe book, but we still did get plenty of funny moments and weird quirky remarks and traits from some of the characters.
Once I got into it properly, this was quite an easy read, and the ending was perfect, plus left it open for the series to continue. I look forward to seeing which of the secondary characters comes next.
Damn Max Monroe! These ladies sure know how to write a rom-com!
I was in absolute hysterics reading this book. It was such a fun read!
I loved our heroine Greer she was feisty, sarcastic and said whatever was on her mind she was a hoot! Trent our Hero was smart, sexy, and a bit of a jerk but as the story progresses we do get a softer side to him as well.
These two hate each other from their first meeting but they can't seem to fight their attraction for long. Its a bit a of slow burn with some crazy sexual tension I would of liked to see some more sexy times but it was such a great read.
The secondary characters were amazing too. I loved Cap and I liked how we had a couple of chapters in his point of view. He reminded me so much of Thatch Kelly from their other Billionaire series which I LOVED and i'm so happy this story is in the same world as that series!
This book made me laugh out loud constantly. Hilarious and witty banter especially from Greer and Cap. Loved Greer she is loyal, smart, hard working, mouthy and ridiculously funny. She is great at getting herself in embarrassing situations. Trent was the perfect foil to her being solid and pragmatic but also with a great sense of humour, and Greer was exactly what Trent needed to help him calm down and build an amazing hotel.
Fantastic group of friends, much hilarity and an excellent HEA. Loved that there was a hint of Thatcher in there too.
