It also features a trope that is one of my favorites - brother’s best friend. Enzo and Chari have crushed on each other for a long time but of course the other never knew. Except maybe Enzo did at one stage.
I enjoyed but also hated the push and pull with Enzo. It did make the story more realistic for me but I was ever so happy when he finally got his act together and worked out he could have the life everyone else seems to find so easily.
Would definitely read more from this author again. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Chari, a woman with a secret crush/love on her brother's best friend for as long as she could remember. The problem is, he is now living a few hours away in New York becoming a self-make workaholic billionaire. But he's home for the weekend, a rare occurrence but one that reminds her just how much hearing his voice and seeing him in person can do to her.
Enzo: Successful tycoon, built a business with his college best friend and things rolled faster than he imagined. Everything in his life was as he wanted until he goes home one weekend and sets his eyes on Chari. More grownup than he remembered and even more enticing than ever.
The humor was off the charts for me, loved it. The story flowed perfectly and you couldn't get to the HEA quick enough. It does come, but a bit differently than I expected. It was even better.
To keep from giving away the story, I'd describe this book in simple words: Humor, two close-knit families, small hometown vs. NYC, steam....okay A LOT of steamy scenes, hope, love, respect. And let's face it, you can't put a pricetag on love.
I highly recommend this book!!
Characters for whom you want to cheer and you feel their pain. Enzo is a self- made billionaire who is Chari’s brother’s best friend. Chari is a teacher who works hard for her third-grader’s success while feeling frustrated with administration’s non- support.
Enzo lets business consume his life to the point even though family and friends are of the utmost importance he does not let himself come home very often. Celebrating the opening of his brother’s restaurant brings him home & he and Chari are thrown together.
Sparks ignite upon their reunion & they have to discover what possibilities can prosper.
Excited to read future novels which explore some of the side characters.
