Michael has done it again with an interesting account of Leeds Championship season. The match reports are summarised well leaving plenty of room for the football words of wisdom by the great man. It must be great to play for Bielsa as he continually improves a players capability and belief . What a guy !!!

This is a book detailing every game of the 2019/29 Championship winning season in an entertaining way, along with the writer’s personal experiences of the games themselves including tips on where to find the best beer. After the review of each game is a quote from Bielsa himself summarising what he thought of the game in a way which is always polite and measured but often cryptic.
A must buy for all Leeds fans as a record of a memorable and historic season.

Coming from Yorkshire I like to see any Yorkshire team do well, but am not a Leeds United supporter as such.
However I found this a very enjoyable read.

Michael Gill clearly a lifelong and avid supporter, takes you through the season game by game as he sees it at the time.
In doing so he conveys what it is like to experience the highs and lows of a team with high expectations, suffering from a dreadfully disappointing end to last season.

Bielsa has taken Leeds back to the top division in two seasons, no wonder the supporters and players have so much respect for him.
There is little doubt that the transformation is all his work.

The author also includes some of his own experiences and anecdotes of being a Leeds supporter, which give the book a human touch and make it not just a procession of statistics.

I would recommend this book to any Leeds supporter.

I thought the book was an excellent adventure in the rollercoaster ride of being a Leeds United fan. Some of the anecdotes had me nodding and thinking of something similar that has happened to me. The feelings and emotions expressed in the glory of victory and the pain of defeat are no doubt experienced by all true football fans. Thanks Mike, the book was excellent WGUAFC!
