I was a little disappointed thinking I was going to read another story about Magic, New Mexico when in reality it started out that way only to introduce a new character and have him not only go away from Magic, but away from Earth. The story wasn't bad, it just wasn't what I expected. I also thought the ending was way too rushed with the marking and mating. Then suddenly the police believe he's innocent but the newspapers want to keep the story going to sell more papers? I'd sue for a retraction. SMH

I only got a few pages into the book before the word mis-use got to me. "The baron desert" (the barren desert) for instance. I gave up.
