If you enjoy other titles by this author I don't think you will be disappointed.

I have read a number of books in "The Witness Series" by Rebecca Forster, I really enjoyed these and found them easy to get into and read. Based on this I thought I would try some of Rebecca Forsters' other books. Sometimes it can be a bit hit and miss, however I wasn't disappointed.

I found this book a little hard to get into at first, I found the scene setting a bit long winded, but once got further into the book I really quite enjoyed the book.

I will read other titles by Rebecca Forster.

Intriguing and fascinating - a great whodunnit.

This book had everything to hold my attention throughout.

The protagonist was flawed, and was irritating in her thoughts and actions. But once I realised I knew someone like her, it all fell into place nicely. And maybe I gained some insight into my friend who has always been a bit of a puzzle.

Obviously I am a clueless male, while the friend is a woman.

Carefully plotted, with action and dialogue that crackled, with nothing predictable.

Highly recommended - I will now look for more books by this author.

Rebecca Forster is an extremely talented writer who writes so eloquently you feel like you are there.
Whatever novel she writes Rebecca never pads out the story & keeps the reader entertained every chapter to the end.
I frequently find myself unable to stop reading & often read until the early hours so compelling the plot!

Good plot but slow moving

Although less than 300 pages, this book seemed a lot longer.
It is a typical David v Goliath story where a small lawyer, more acquainted with defending street people is called upon to help her glamourous, more successful younger sister, an accomplished lawyer herself who is charged with the murder of the wife of her boss, a senior partner in one of LA's biggest law firms.
This story drags on and on as the defence team struggles to piece together enough evidence to prove reasonable doubt in the jury's mind.
It is only towards the end that the plot livens up as real evidence is found which, had it been available earlier, would have avoided any trial at all.
Nowhere near as good as Hostile Witness.

I found this book slightly disappointing after enjoying Hostile Witness so much. The story was quite a good one and reasonably well told, but the author over-indulged herself recounting Amanda's thoughts and feelings about Mark and Mark's about Amanda. It was an irrelevant distraction from the story and was frankly boring. I'm going to try more of the 'Witness' series however as Rebecca Forster knows how to tell a good story.
