In the novel, there's 18 months missing which is fine if you've read the previous books but I found it disconcerting. Also, with the time travel, it was over so quickly that as a reader, I felt unsatisfied.
There were so many questions and feelings I wanted to know about Adwen and how he felt. It seemed to be glossed over and at the end, I didn't have that HEA (happily ever after) sigh I had with the previous books.
As my fellow book club readers have also read the series, I was interested that they also felt the same as me. This book was disappointing compared with the others.

However Cooper was still as lovely as before and I really liked Orick.
