Torn apart by lies and a hail of bullets…

Georgia Randall is a government-trained killer with nothing left to live for except the burning need for revenge. She’s lost everything she cared about, including the only man she ever loved, and now her past has caught up with her. Shadowy enemies are on the move, determined to silence her before she can kill her remaining targets. But when the man she’s been mourning suddenly turns up to confront her, Georgia must face the consequences of the lies she told to conceal her double life. And even if she wins him back and survives what’s coming, she knows a happy ending isn’t possible for someone like her.

Only revealing their darkest secrets can bring them back together.

Against all odds, notorious assassin Miguel Bautista clawed his way back from the brink of death. Now he wants answers. For months he’s been tormented by the devastating truth about the one bright spot in his dark and violent past: the woman he fell in love with was nothing but a lie. When he learns she’s in danger and is offered the chance to save her, he signs a deal with the devil to protect her. They already lost each other once. If any of what they shared was real, this time he’s not letting her go. But if they’re going to have a prayer at a future together they must first evade the enemies closing in on them—and fight to stay alive.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Complete Now That I've Found You!!! 24 April 2016
By ZETTER - Published on Amazon.com

Georgia Randall was trained by the government to be an assassin, she was in the same program as Briar Jones. They were friends until they both graduated and went their separate ways. Despite being apart for years, the two women still held each other in their hearts.

When Briar found herself in danger, Georgia was there to help rescue her. Haunting down the man who took away the only father figure she knew, has been G's goal since her appearance in DISAVOWED (HRT book 4).

Along the way G lost her heart to a fellow assassin named Miguel "El Santo" Bautista, whom we had the plaisir of meeting in EXPOSED (HRT book 6). Though circumstances prevented them from being totally honest with each other, they never lied about their feelings for one another.

Miguel was the enforcer for one of the most ruthless cartel in Miami now he was working for - let me rephrase that, he was working with the NSA and he would do anything to find and protect the woman who'd stolen his heart....Georgia Randall.

Georgia was being hunted by some very powerful people who wouldn't stop at nothing to keep her from finishing what she set out to do. She wanted to avenged the two men she'd ever cared for and faced whatever came her way afterwards.

When Miguel and Georgia came face-to-face for the first time, it was as if time stopped and they were the only two people in the room. With just one look in those beautiful blue eyes of G's, Miguel got an answer to one of his questions. She did care for him.

He wasn't about to let her go now that he'd found, he was going to help her take care of those who were after her...And he was going to claim her as his cause she was his in every way that counted. Georgia and Miguel both fell hard for each other in a way they never thought possible.

Even though they were both scared of what had happened between them in Miami a few minths ago, Miguel and Georgia couldn't stop their souls from becoming one.

As they handled their enemies with the help of the HRT, it felt great knowing that they had each other's backs. Despite the tension between Cruz and Miguel, some unexpected circumstances, the op was successful.

Kaylea Cross has this remarkable insight into the broken souls, the way was wrote Miguel and Georgia's story took my breath away. I love her HOSTAGE RESCUE TEAM series. It was great having Gage Wallace from the TITANIUM SECURITY series make a cameo. Such a beautiful reminder that Alex Rycroft was once part of the TS company.

BETRAYED didn't disappoint, I've been expecting Georgia to get her own story since book 4 and I'm happy to say that this book has to be by far my favorite book in the HRT series. You guys should give it a try. Ten FANTASTIC stars and a recommendation to grab yourselves a copy today itself.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Redemption and Second chance romance with HOT HOT PASSION!!!!! 29 September 2016

Kaylea Cross – Betrayed (Hostage Rescue Team Series – Book 9)

Georgia Randall, who is one of the three Valkyrie ‘Sisters’, gets her own story: “Betrayed”. Background: The Valkyrie Project was a CIA program that recruited orphan girls at a very young age. The project turned these orphans into deadly female assassins. Three of the girls became and remained best friends: Briar Jones who is now married to CO Matt Deluca (HRT Book 4: Disavowed). Georgia Randall and Miguel Bautista (this book HRT Book 9: Betrayed). We also have met Trinity Durant the third “Valkyrie Sister” who will get her own book in the Colebrook Trilogy-Book 1 (Available September 2016).

In a previous book, Miguel Bautista was one of the “bad guys”, but in the end he did the right thing and saved Georgia, the women he had fallen in love with along with some others. Readers believed that Bautista died at the end of the book, but now we find out that he survived and has been held by CIA.

Now Georgia Randall will come face to face with the man she had fallen in love with, and had been grieving the loss of Miguel all this time because no one told her that he was alive.

This is a must read in order to find out how Ms. Cross can redeem Miguel and have a chance at a HEA with Georgia.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Fabulous Book in a series that Should Not be missed !!!! 30 April 2016

Kayla Cross has done it again !!! Betrayed is another fabulous story in the Hostage Rescue Team series. It is almost impossible to put down once you start, just like all the other books in this series . Cross provides a great story that is fast paced with lots of intrigue, Hot military alpha males and even Hotter action in the bedroom. She is truly gifted at writing a well balanced story that you can't wait to finish but also don't want to end because you are so invested in the character's and the story. However, she has done such a great job of making this series flow from one book to the next, so while each book is complete on it's own, you feel like you are continuing the story with each new book you start.
I highly recommend that at the very least you read the Titanium Series before you start this series, but it would be even better if you started with the Bagram Special Ops series because that is where you will first meet some of the character's, plus these series are great reads, too!!!
I am anxiously awaiting the final book in the HRT series but sad that it is the final story. Great Job Kaylea Cross !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope we will see some more military series from you in the future.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect! 6 June 2016

Miguel “El Santo” Bautista used to be an enforcer for the Fuentes Cartel. As such he met and fell in love with “Julia”. However, neither he nor “Julia” were honest with each and both of them had their own agendas, which they kept hidden from each other. Having recovered from his nearly deadly injuries Miguel is offered a pardon, if he helps to lure out of hiding the woman he loves. Will he accept? “Julia“ on the other hand went into hiding and doesn't yet know that the love of her life survived. Can they trust each other and do they have a second chance?

To be honest, I was a bit hesitant regarding the main characters of this installment. BUT, this was a
typical Kaylea Cross book: deep running emotions, complex relationships, hot sex scenes and all that wrapped up in a perfect plot, which ended in a heartfelt and romantic HEA. Absolutely loved this book!

Appreciated very much the twist regarding Matt and Briar, which was the perfect bonus material.

I'm anxiously expecting the next installment!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Stopping Georgia is harder than it looks 29 August 2016

We first met Georgia in Matt and Briar's book - when she was hired to assassinate Briar. Georgia and Briar knew each other during their time in training. Georgia returned in Marisol and Ethan's book when Georgia feel for Miguel, who was hired to kill various people and Marisol got caught in the cross fire. In that book, Miguel proved himself to be a decent guy when he tried to get Marisol away. Then he died.

Or not.

Now he's back and he's working with the NSA in an attempt to find Georgia before she does something stupid.

Well written, great story. The only complaint I have is it was slightly inconsistent with Briar's book - in that Briar mentioned that she and Georgia didn't know each other well because Georgia was so much older but in this book there is a flashback that makes it seem like they, along with Trinity, were really close.
