R.L. Stine invented the teen horror genre with Fear Street, the bestselling teen horror series of all time. He also changed the face of children’s publishing with the mega-successful Goosebumps series, which went on to become a worldwide multimedia phenomenon. Ive been a fan of r.l stine since a teen. This was what i was expecting and i look forward to reading the next book. Theres a few choppy passages, which i think may be due to amazons electronic printing transfer, but you still get the idea of the story.
4.0 out of 5 starsFast read, lots of “just one more chapter”

I read these in middle and high school. Rereading them now, I remember why I enjoyed them so much. Stine writes fast paced plots that keeps the story flowing. I can’t say his characters are extremely well rounded but they are entertaining.
Althoguh perhaps not as unique as some of the other books in the fear street series, this book was enough to have me finish it in one sitting. It cycled through different timelines and generations that all tied into each other and spirals in a circle of hatred between two familys. Although i was a step ahead of the book (it was alittle predictable,) it did have that R.L. Stein shine that make the reader invested.
I went in thinking this was going to be a 90's teen slasher, so I was a little throne off when I started it. But , once I settled in, I was hooked.
I just love the way Stine writes. Are his characters particularly compelling? No. Does he keep me up whispering the mantra "one more page" with his cliffhangers? Yes.
All in all I would recommend this book. I'm happy I started off with this one
