Der vorliegende Sammelband mit einem hübschen Cover vereint alle(?) Kurzgeschichten aus den ersten 12 Ausgaben des Ebooks Hammer and Bolter und bildet ein buntes Gemisch von Kurzgeschichten verschiedenen Umfangs und auch unterschiedlicher Qualität aus den verschiedenen Warhammer Universen, wobei die HH-Freunde nur mit zwei Kurzgeschichten bedient werden, die auch schon in HH-Sammelbänden erschienen sind. Für knapp 12 € bekommt eine Menge geboten. Der allergrößte Teil der Erzählungen ist hier in Buchform das erste Mal veröffentlicht worden. Eine derartige Zusammenstellung hat natürlich keinen zusammenhängenden roten Faden, aber zwei Autoren sind mit jeweils zwei Kurzgeschichten vertreten, die inhaltlich aufeinander aufbauen. Mir hat es Spaß gemacht den Sammelband in vier Tagen zu lesen und m. e. ist die Mehrzahl der Kurzgeschichten gelungen, Mittelmaß ist natürlich wiederholt anzutreffen, ein Totalausfall ist mir nicht untergekommen. Da ich für mich auch ein paar Perlen gefunden habe, gebe ich vier Sterne und empfehle ihn als Feriengepäck. Amazon bietet den Band zum Zeitpunkt der Rezension noch einmal fast 5 € teurer an. Also aufpassen bei der Bestellung!

The book itself is what you would expect, good pages and binding, so printing materials are good but its what printed that isnt. Stories are varied but alot more hammer than bolter, like 85% more. The authors are varied so its hit and miss but as you keep reading hoping for more 40k you get more and more warhammer and not very good stories at that, sad to say but not one to be missed if i lost it.

This is a great collection of the Hammer and Bolter e-magazines. I like my books in paper back so I was super excited for this to come out. It is a thick book but such a good read for anyone that like Warhammer or Warhammer 40k.
