Amateurish writingReviewed in the United States on 2 December 2020
I'm not sure the author has ever heard of a pronoun. I got so tired of reading "Monica", such as, "Monica did this...", "Monica thought this..." Has the author never heard of "she"? The story became so unbelievable when Monica, the main character, spent the better part of her days asking personal questions of local townspeople (and...they actually responded to her!) that I started skimming, skipping paragraphs at a time. I like cozy mysteries; they're a nice break from hard driving suspense. That being said, I like cozy mysteries that are somewhat believable and those that don't read as if they were written in a junior high English class. No more of this author for me.

No surprises!Reviewed in the United States on 22 November 2020
This has been an interesting series, with strong characterization and a unique setting. The mysteries have been well crafted - until this latest book in the series. Everything about this book seemed predictable. I kept hoping the next obvious scene would instead be a twist but instead the book took the reader along an extremely obvious road to the inevitable conclusion. At just over 200 pages there would have been room to put some much-needed depth into the story.

Love this author!Reviewed in the United States on 20 November 2020
This series is one of my favorites. The town is the perfect cozy setting with characters with great chemistry. Not to mention always a murder that keeps you guessing.

EnjoyableReviewed in the United States on 5 March 2021
This cozy mystery series (Cranberry Cove Mysteries) by Peg Cochran has been quite enjoyable. It takes place in a small town near the water, with a harbor, and includes interesting (and some quirky) characters. There are 6 books, to date. The most recent, Berried Motives, was especially good. I had trouble figuring out whodunit.
