Product Description

**STAND ALONE READ**
Ten years ago I fell in love with a married woman. I walked away so she could be happy, moving across the country to make sure I put space between us. We severed ties, and I promised myself I wouldn't look back.
Since then I committed to someone else, and we have a child and a life many would wish for. Except, it's never been enough for me. There's always been something missing; something I never wanted to admit.
With my own marriage failing, I'm forced to go back to my hometown to bury the man who raised me. I never expected to see her there, and nothing could prepare me for what would happen the moment my arms wrapped around hers again.

*Stand Alone read, but also follows the characters featured in book two, BEREFT.
Contains some adult content.

Only days after finding out that his marriage is no longer what he believed it to be, Chad gets word that his grandfather, the man who's been a father, mentor and friend to him for almost as long as he can remember, is fading fast. Dropping everything to fly from one side of the country to the other to visit with him before the inevitable, Chad encounters Rachel for the first time in ten years.

As chronicled in the second book of the series, Bereft, Chad had a brief, but extremely passionate affair with Rachel while she was separated from her husband, and even though Chad was the one who did the leaving, Rachel was always, for him, the one that got away.

You probably have an inkling where things head from there, and I like to avoid spoilers as much as possible, BUT, what I will say is that this book is messy. There is infidelity, and deceit, false accusations and people being rushed to hospital, and right in the middle of all of that is a sweet, innocent little girl who doesn't really understand why Daddy was kissing that lady the way she'd seen Mommy kissing another lady.

If there weren't children involved, it all could be as simple as saying "That's it. Its over. We're getting a divorce and I'm going to try and see if I can rekindle something with this other woman I never really stopped loving" ... but Harper is there, and everyone involved in the unfolding drama struggles with weighing her best interests against their own heart's desires.

With Harper's mother living on one coast, and the woman he sees as his future living on the other, there simply is no simple solution, and I suppose that in some ways, that's the stand out feature of this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars From one mother to another, tissues required!! 24 November 2015

OMG Jenn has done it again, she made me cry, laugh, and long to be loved.  In this story Chad and Rachel are back, but it's not the happy reunion we'd all like.  There are lots of great ache and tears.  And now a bit about the story...

Chad was the bigger man and left Rachel 10 years ago so she wouldn't have to pick between him and Grayson.  Now his wonderful grandfather has passed and he is back in town for the funeral.  The connection is instant, if only he wasn't married.  And she wasn't married.  But he did just catch his wife cheating, maybe they can be together?  Will love win in the end? It's a long road, but I loved it and hope you do as well.

Favorite passages:
- “Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone.”
- “It’s funny how your career involves beauty, but right now you’re the ugliest person I’ve ever seen.”
- “When one star falls, shooting across the sky to erupt in flames, another is born, taking it’s place and sometimes shining even brighter than it’s predecessor.”

Finally these two were able to be together. After reading the first book I was hoping for them then. First book Chad does the noble thing and walks away from his love. Things change in the second. Chad finds out his wife has an affair with doctor. His grandfather dies. Bringing Chad back into the life he left behind ten years ago. Even though Chad is still very much married their love could not be denied. Veronica tells Chad she is pregnant, bringing his happy ending to a halt. At times I felt like I wanted to choke him. His marriage was over, and Veronica was being a bitch just to control Chad. Yes yes I know she had a bad childhood but honestly I think she use it to her advantage to excuse her behavior. Honestly the book was good, alittle sad at times. No one should have to watch someone die. Cancer is one word no one wants to hear.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chad is my new Love!!!! 24 November 2015

Jenn Foor does it again! This book had me completely emerged into it. I felt like I was apart of the story. Chad is an amazing man. Who proves in so many ways how unselfish he is and that he would do anything, I mean anything for the people he loves. We 1st meet Chad in Bereft (book 2 if the Seven Year Itch series) where I instantly loved him and prayed for his happy ending. He finally gets his hea but he had to go through alot of trials & tribulations to get there. This book was extremely emotional and heart breaking. It shows the power of true love and happiness. It also keeps you on your toes with suspense the whole way through. You just don't know what's going to happen next, and as always in a J4 book, hot steamy sex!!! Thanks Jenn for allowing me to be apart of your amazing team!!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book and everything about it 24 November 2015

This book gave me ALL the feels. I was team Chad from the start but I was prepared for his journey to be a difficult one. So much has changed in the 10 years since he and Rachael were last together. Now they are reunited by a tragedy. Having new lives but still sharing the same strong feelings for one another. They must learn how to cope with this dilemma and not cause damage to the lives they have built for themselves.

I loved this book and everything about it. Jenn did a brilliant job of conveying such a strong and powerful journey.

With Harper's mother living on one coast, and the woman he sees as his future living on the other, there simply is no simple solution, and I suppose that in some ways, that's the stand out feature of this book. So often in romance literature, we see a couple thrust into difficult situations only to have something happen that allows everything to be neatly wrapped up by the last page, but here ... while things do indeed get wrapped up, there's little in the way of 'neat' about it.

Of course, things get even more complicated before they even start getting resolved, and like Chad, the reader is, at several points in the story, left wondering what the right move to make next as life unfolds, and unravels around him.

I'm reminded of a conversation I had with the wife around a year ago before I'd read a single word of Jennifer Foor's writing, where she was explaining why Jenn was one of her favorite authors. She said "So much of what she writes about, the problems the characters face ... they're relateable. Whether it be breast cancer or douchebag exes, unexpected pregnancies or whatever, they're things that happen to real people", and Belong is certainly no exception.

I loved this book, and what I particularly loved was the way that, despite their failings, it was easy to be sympathetic towards each member of the messy love triangle.
