This series had the potential to be a great story but a couple of things annoyed me in this book. First thing was Jack Henry calling Laurelyn L. I don't find that adorable at all and the more it was used the more I hated it. I also got sick of Laurelyn at the start of this book, she seem to whinge all the time. She just seem to change from the other two books and so did Jack Henry but three quarter through the book got better. The pregnancy was a great touch to the story and the epilogue finished it nicely.
Jack McLachlan, a truly beauty character once his eyes n heart is open to love. A true family man, protector of who is dearly important to him, n his amazing love n devotion 4his wife, Laurelyn McLachlan n his children. I just wanted more... Love all 3 books to the series. Only wish there was a bonus epilogue like 5 or 10yrs down the track. A beautiful story...
John Henry and Laurelyn still have problems with exes coming out of the woodwork and Laurelyn is fed up with it wondering when it will all go away. He's frightened that she will leave him especially after the paternity case and the trial in America. Having their baby proves to be hard and John holds on hoping she will continue to love him. The final book is okay but I think this story could have worked better in two books as there was too much padding and it got a little bit boring.
Before I bought this book I was put off by the negative reviews, so now that I've read it I thought I'd stick up for the book a bit by posting a review of my own. Ok, so this book is probably not the best of the three, and maybe previous reviews have a point when they question whether a third book was actually needed, after all it could've been summed up in an epilogue.
But...
I enjoyed it, I thought it was a good read and I enjoying finding out what happened to Laurelyn and Jack after they got married. I'm a sucker for an epilogue so to essentially get a whole book of one is right up my street.
We follow them in their first year or so of marriage, and it generally does follow the same formulaic storyline of past mistakes coming back to haunt, but I found it flowed well and tied up the trilogy nicely.
And yes, there is an actual epilogue at the end :-)

Jack Henry has everything he thought he would never want but that's what the love of a good woman does to you. He is on his honeymoon with Laurelyn or "L" as he likes to call her and they are having plenty of crazy honeymoon sex !! Enjoy ugh it made me hot and flustered He even asked her about babies (Where did that come from never in a million yrs did I see that coming ) When they get back home to Australia things are going great until Jack Henry's past decides to follow them. It seems they just can't getaway from the women that where only meant to be numbers. There always going to biting at his feet Jack Henry wants nothing more than his past to disappear and to have a HEA with "L" but can she get over his past. When it comes down to it can Laurelyn give him the support she so wants too. This book does have a HEA but it needs to be read after Beauty From Pain Beauty From Surrender
“You were once my beauty from pain, before you became my beauty from surrender. Now you’ve adapted into something different once again.” “And what is that?” “My beauty from love Forever.” That's the best passage ever
This is not my favorite book in the series. I liked the first 2 but I didn't really feel it in this book. The story starts right after the wedding in book 2. I did find that the book had a lot of sex scenes and I found that I was skimming through them because it got 'same ol' same ol' There were a few women that came about in this book because of Jack Henry's past. 'L' as she is called by Jack Henry, she gets mad but she goes over the top. She leaves him in a hotel while she goes home. There is an incident at Even' s New year's eve party, where L is faced with another companion. She gets mad at Jack Henry. Which is annoying because she knows he has a past. When the woman at the party corners him L sees him and walks off without giving him a chance to explain, she doesn't really trust him. The book is slow and it definitely could have been a smaller book. I gave it a 4 star because I liked the first 2, it's an easy read, a HEA and L and Jack Henry's story is over.
Wow, after looking forward to Jack & L 's HEA I was so not disappointed. This final installment you see them growing together as a married couple...now don't get me wrong it is not all plain sailing...how could it be when when you have a chequered past like Jack therefore poor Laurelin at times feels as though she can never forget all the women that were before her ...how does she cope with that? However that being said I never once felt that it wasn't something they could get over and despite what happens on the way I felt completely secure in their love....I felt it...I lived it it was so real and true. A beautiful ending to a stunning trilogy...the change in Jack was amazing...there is nothing he wouldn't do for his L and L was always there supporting her man...no matter what. Thankyou once again Georgia Cates....A...maz...Ing
