Product Description

Successful restaurateur Lucien Black’s blue-green eyes and unattainable attitude drive women wild. But his abandonment issues and criminal past have left him emotionally closed off. When a familiar face shows up for a job interview at his nightclub, the ache he has tried to forget tears at his heart—it’s the girl who once healed him…and then abandoned him.

Darcy MacBride still remembers Lucien’s delicate touch when they were both wildly in love teenagers. His gorgeous eyes had soothed her hurt after she’d been dumped off at the orphanage where Lucien lived. Darcy felt his jagged edges fit perfectly into her own, and she’d planned to spend the rest of her life with him—until a mysterious man warned her away. Now, fourteen years later, she’s ready to endure the torture of Lucien’s indifference and having him as her boss…just to be near him. But when it seems that they might finally take up where they left off, a devastating secret buried in their past threatens to tear them apart again.

L.A. Fiore’s story of smoldering love recaptures the tormented romance of Beautifully Damaged.

This book made me laugh, cry and do everything I could to get back to reading this book. I loved the first book and am so glad that this sequel was just as good. Not only did we learn about luciene and Darcy but we got to see much more of trace and embers story. Loved it!!!

3.5 to 4.0 for Beautifully Forgotten. This book not only depicts the story of Darcy and Lucien, but it continues the story of Ember and Trace. I like the characters, and there are a lot, so you need to remember names, places, characteristics and relationships.

There are strong threads that started out in book 1 and are woven throughout this book, so the links and twists are there. The 'who done it?' elements are very interesting and well-thought out, but there are a couple of times when the characters make light of dramatic circumstances, for example, the taxi scene with Kyle, Darcy and Ember. This is a bit confusing, when the characters take the plot seriously for the majority of time. (I don't mean in relaxed dialogue scenes, or comic relief scenes.) Although, that's a minor criticism, it's almost like in those few times the author couldn't make up her mind which genre or genres she wanted to use to tell her narrative, or more specifically, what were the characteristics of her characters.

In addition, sorry, another minor flaw, is that the sex scenes bordered on being depicted too often in detail - could've been in danger of losing impact.

Yes, it's a book of fiction and not realistic. Nevertheless, I don't think the plot is unbelievable as an entertaining narrative. On the contrary, it's a good read and overall I enjoyed it.

I have to admit I enjoyed the later half of the story, but seriously struggled with the beginning. I almost gave up, but getting to read more about Trace and Ember made me stick it out. I'm so glad I did bcos I would have missed some of the best parts. Lucien and Darcy's story was chaotic in the beginning but i loved the ending superb. Brandon and seth were awesome as well. Personally I don't like flash backs but it wasnt to bad and not my favorite. I would have given 4☆☆☆☆ but the beginning really killed it for me.

I loved these two books. By the time I started this book I was so already hooked. Surely there's a story to be told for Rafe. You find you can't put them down
