Beautiful Things Evil People Do is the story of a young woman's yearning to find the perfect man that will fulfil her darkest desire. But be warned its ravishment (rape fantasy). What starts as an advert posted on the dark web, becomes a journey of enlightenment for two very damaged individuals.
Abigail believes that she craves the darkness and all that it encompasses, although a much older Jynx knows what the fallout of these desires can bring. Intercepting her ad, it's now his mission to give her what she needs in a safe environment. However, in these circumstances, there is no avoiding the ugliness before love.
Now I completely get that this book is for the minority or just us curious folk, yet it didn't unravel as I expected it to. It was delightfully wicked (as you'd imagine), provocative, but also a love story between two people who were opposed to love.
This was a complex story about two extremely deviant people that rocked my world. Considering their sexual preferences is not up for discussion in polite company, it made sense that they’d find each other this way. Go in with an open mind and you may just love and appreciate this as much as I did.
“𝙸 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚋𝚘𝚛𝚗 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚍𝚊𝚛𝚔. 𝙸 𝚕𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚍𝚊𝚛𝚔. 𝙻𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚎𝚡𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚜.”
I am absolutely in love with Echo and Jynx so much that their story had me hooked from the very start. I was rooting for them throughout the book because their chemistry was out of this world. They remind me of yin and yang because one lives in the light while the other lives in darkness but they both have damage which lies beneath the surface. There were a few times when I really hated Echo and wanted to slap her up the face but luckily she managed to redeem herself.
I really love how in Ms. Samuels notes she describes the reasoning behind why she broke dark romance down into two words— dark + romance. It is beautiful the way that she says that she ‘wanted the elements—dark + romance—separated—isolated, if you will—so the shadows of light and dark magnified.’
This story will break your heart, make you angry, get you excited (in more ways than one), make you smile, laugh, it will take you out of your comfort zone and it will probably make you cringe at times. But it will also show you that there is something beautiful that can be found within the darkness, you only need to let the light in to find it.
I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.
In this story we meet Echo, a young 22 year old who puts an ad online stating she wants to be raped, when in essence, she wants hot, rough dirty sex. Jynx intercepts the ad and when he sees Echo he is immediately drawn. But being older and a player, he feels guilt over his feelings and refuses to cross the line with her. But in order to keep her safe from other predators who may take her ad the wrong way, something has to give, and so starts their journey of self discovery together.
Damn this book was good. Dark, romantic with a kink factor that will have you wanting to turn submissive too, Beautiful Things Evil People Do was a great story and I'm sure anyone who loves a kinky dark romance read will appreciate this one.

With such tiltle, Beautiful Things Evil People Do, my curiosity was piqued right away, and my mind went into overdrive with the anticipation. From cover to cover Jynx and Echo's story captivated me.
It felt so easy to get immersed into the intense atmosphere. I felt I could wander into Jynx' property. Scene after scene, the author kept painting these striking visuals where the emotions were as powerful as the delightful decors.
Echo and her guilty fantasies take the reader on a bumpy journey. KRS explored a wide range of emotions, building a tale as raw as sweet, as playful as deliciously erotic, always with the outmost justesse.
The dueling emotions Echo experienced felt palpable. Under Jynx' patience and Dominance, the young woman revealed herself. Their chemistry was undeniable. I absolutely loved their intimacy. The age gap had me fan myself.
Echo and Jynx blur the lines, you will find no labels to put on things. BEAUTIFUL THINGS EVIL PEOPLE DO definitely lives to its title. Letting go of the preconceived ideas never felt so good. Open your mind and you'll be surprised by the direction the storyline takes.
This story shows that it's okay to be different, to have desires, that even scarred and fighting your demons, you can find someone. An equilibrium and acceptance.
Breathless and a bit disheveled, I turned the last page, feeling good and with a huge smile on my face.
Thanks to their heartfelt story, Jynx and Echo became one of my favorite couple. I hope we will have more of them in the future.
BTEPD is dark but damn if it’s not sweet too. Jynx is possessive caring and deadly!! I loved the internal conversations that he had with himself. He was sweet and understanding but sharp and dangerous at the same time. I’m not quite sure what it says about me but I didn’t find him to be evil. I could never say mad at him. He built Echo up, taught her and helped her realize who she is meant to be.
"it’s too late to stop me. The hunger, the craving, the desire— it’s already there. I have been watching and waiting."
My first thoughts on Echo were research gone bad or research gone good?? In the beginning I didn’t really feel her but that’s not exactly right, I just didn’t understand her what made her tick what exactly was her motive but has the story went on a things were revealed she became clearer and it became clear that she is the absolute perfect match for Jynx. I loved watching her grow and the evolution of her character.
"I will sip, savor , and devour every last drop because I’m disciplined in my convictions.”
This does have dark elements but it’s more than that. It’s about acceptance of yourself and all your flaws and growth. Jynx is so caring and sweet. I know that’s weird because he is just as ruthless but it’s the truth. He is dirty and rough outside and inside the bedroom. I couldn't get enough! Highly recommend!!!
"Claim me. Take me. Use me. Til the end."
He knows himself. Confident. Dominant. Deadly. A filthy gentleman.
She's young. Beautiful. Broken. She's looking for something and even though she thinks she knows what that is, she has no idea. She writes an ad on the dark web thinking she will get what she wants.
He finds her.
He thinks he's going to help her.
But she becomes his game changer.
And I literally fell in love with every aspect of this beautiful, mouth-watering story. And that is exactly what their journey is.... mouth-watering. She falls, he drags her back from the pit like a savior only to further corrupt her.
She pushes, he pulls.
She runs. He waits.
Jynx is a delicious combination of Sal and Deacon from Ms. Kailee's TAT series. And though this is a standalone, one can only hope for more of Jynx and Echo's drool worthy story to be written. You will NEVER be disappointed by Ms. Kailee's words. Dive in. Enjoy. Be open. It's a game changer.
Please know that I’m an avid reader (have been for years now), and I don’t impress easily. So, take me seriously when I tell you that Ms. Samuels writes really well-written, engaging, interesting and unique books. This newest addition to her work ranks high in this regard.
This is the story of Jynx and Echo, two incredibly individual characters who simply do not fit into a typical model of romance Hero and Heroine. I do not discuss plot in my reviews; in my mind the blurb reveals as much as the reader needs to know at the outset. I want the story to unfold as it should because Kailee R. Samuels is so very adept at peeling away layers of self, eventually revealing the inner depth of those people who inhabit her fictional worlds.
I was completely caught up in this story. I had to leave it occasionally to care for family but as soon as I could I was back into its pages. I was thrilled, shocked, saddened and gladdened. This is what Kailee does to her readers. She makes us FEEL. Her words will run through your mind for hours to days after finishing her book. You’ll think about the events and the characters long after the story has ended.
Like I said, I’m a fan girl, but I am by no means a simple one. If I recommend a book, that book moved and intrigued me on many different levels. I highly recommend this latest story. Of course I do. It was written by KRS.
