First off, this is a Ménage romance set on an alien planet. It has a little bit of action towards the end but it is more concerned with the social implications of the story.
Eden is a jungle planet with walled cities scattered over it. It is a planet where only males are born. To procreate they need to form a films and then find a mate on Earth. A filoz is two or more men who are like very close brothers who feel each other’s emotions. They call themselves Brothers of the Heart. When they find their mate and bond with her, she also joins the emotional bonding.
In Beast of Eden, Xavia Jones has been chosen by a filoz of three, from the city of Tolba, to be their mate. They have watched her for years before making a portal to Earth and approaching her. Xavia is a zoologist who finds the concept of a new planet to study very attractive. She, therefore, agrees to spend some time on Eden to see if she can be a mate to three men! But, she is only on the planet for two days when a member of her filoz, Lyka, is suddenly exiled from the city of Tolba! She knows that he has done nothing wrong and sneaks out of the city behind him. As soon as the portal closes behind them an enormous creature flies overhead and scares her to death! Maybe it wasn’t the best idea she’s ever had. Shortly after, two men come out of the jungle to meet them. The one called Davos immediately approaches Lyka and indicates that he knows there is a woman with him despite the fact that Lyka has hidden her from sight with his chameleon ability. After telling Lyka to keep her hidden (including her pheromones) Davos starts to separate them into two groups. One group is of criminal exiles while the other group are Kindred of Eden. The Kindred are those people who are born with some kind of psychic talent and Tolba has decided that they don’t want them! the other Edenist with Davos is Janek who then tells the criminals to follow him. It is not until they have disappeared that Davos then leads the Kindred in another direction. Davos and Janek have made an enclosed settlement where exiled Kindred are welcomed and all work together for the common good. What Xavia doesn’t know is that Davos is a shifter and is the enormous beast that she saw fly over them.
This is a story of how Davos discovered that Lyka is in actual fact a brother of his heart and has to come to terms with who he is himself. Xavia finds herself drawn to both Lyka and Davos but keeps very much to herself as she is scared of crowds. The journey that each of the three has to make to find themselves and their relationship with the settlement of Una makes for very interesting reading. Highly recommended.

Another Winner!Reviewed in the United States on 14 April 2019
Wow! We have moved from Naralina to another city on Eden to find more drama from the normally peace-loving residents of Eden. You can read the blurbs on what this is about. I will say that although I am not normally a Sci-Fi reader, Ms. Post writes a helluva story and this entire series has enchanted me. I am drawn into the world of wonderful characters and the conflicts they live. Eden is an interesting world and I want to know more about it! I found that once I started this book, I had an extremely difficult time putting it down. Another winner!
HookedReviewed in the United States on 10 April 2019
Lexi knows how much the I love the Eden series and when I saw this was coming out boy I did a boogie dance. Lexi was the first Paranormal book I read and I was hooked from the start. Xavia is a lot like me has to stay busy and loves the outside. Boy she had her hands full with Davos. He was so hard headed and guarded I didn't think she would be able to break the ice in his heart but she sure swoon him. Now Lyka he stole my heart right away. He was such a big teddy bear and he was always making sure Xavia needs was met.
Love this book and seriesReviewed in the United States on 29 March 2019
Wow, what a great addition to the Eden Series, every time a new book comes out I can't wait for it to arrive. This time I volunteered to read and send any corrections that were needed. It was a privilege to be able to be able to help out and get to read the book early. I'm already looking forward to the next book. I would re c commend this series to everyone including those like me that usually don't read the paranormal. Thank you Lexi for your hard work.
