Product Description

Note: This is the first book in a serialized story.

The trip to Puerto Rico proves to be even worse than the nightmare Scarlett thought it would. Adrian's assassination starts what becomes a series of revelations that will bring her face to face with demons from her past.

Stakes get higher as she learns this is more than a government conspiracy but a personal vendetta led by a man scarred by the same two people who made Scarlett's early years a living hell.

Everyone she loves is in danger and she's vowed to protect them no matter what. And they've vowed to fight by her side in return. What she isn't counting on is that in love and war, sacrifices must be made.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Great Addition To The Series 18 August 2014

This book continues right where book two left off, and it doesn't disappoint.

After the assassination of her grandfather, she continues with her wedding plans with Armand all while trying to figure out the and stop the plans that are in motion for the Filius Project.

We get to find out more about Scarlett and her past, and you have to be impressed with how strong she is considering everything she's been through.

We also find out more about the players in the Project, and we see the measures they're willing to go to get everyone in line. Despite the lies she's fed from her superior, Scarlett doesn't believe them. She knows that Armand loves her, and that there are many people that are counting on her to find a way to stop the Project.

This is a fast-paced, action-filled read. In order to understand all the characters and the running story-line, it is highly recommended that you read the first two books in the series before diving into this one.

I can't wait for the next book in series to see how this all plays out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing. Love and violence are a great combo. 25 February 2014
By Ruty@ReadingDreaming - Published on Amazon.com

After reading The Beast, book three in The Caregiver series, I can say I’m a loyal fan of the books and the author. This world of secret agencies, spies, confidential projects, mob, drug lords and strong values as loyalty, friendship, bravery and more, is the perfect scenario for an outstanding story with splendid characters.

The Beast is part of a series set on a world where violence and love coexist to frame a tangled and complex history. It’s a fast story, with revelations in every page and new info to have in account when decisions are made. Full of excitement, adrenaline and intrigue, the book has almost no low points.

The book starts right after the events on book two, in the middle of complications Scarlett continues with the wedding plans and with the mission to disarm the project that threats her happiness and the ones she loves.

Scarlett is really one of my favorite heroines but not because she is perfect or all goody-goody. She is real and human, with flaws and a personality you don't always love. Her relationship with Armand is so well put together, is described in an excellent way. The author makes an incredible work creating and writing about the relationships in this book, everything is well thought and despite the great amount of names, is easy to catch up with everyone.

One thing that got my attention was that in this book BDSM is present like something of her past and a common characteristic between her and some of her acquaintances. However, in the previous one this wasn’t so clear (or at least I don’t remember being so specific about it) there were hints about it but not much.

I could write a lot more about all the good things in this book but I don’t want to spoil anything. The Beast is definitely my favorite in the series because all the action and the love in this book. We can read Armand’s point of view (which is great) and Scarlett is better than never.

Overall, The Beast is the best book in the series. It has the violence, the danger and the evil people I enjoyed in the preceding books. A must if you have read the other two books.

Writing this review with emotional feelings because 1) I am a Woman and (2 all 3 books were that good.
In every book the more you read the more you understood the characters saw character development..from being a care taker to know hit woman and mom to be.

What makes it nicer the author comes from Puerto Rico so every now and again there are Spanish quotes.
Good character development and would Scarlett..she has become fierce.

Author writhing skills were so good that you have just pictured the whole story

Thanks Astrid f making all 3 books a good story.

NB:you should relax all 3 then you follow the story Bette

3.0 out of 5 stars Picks up where Torn left off 14 April 2015
By Lupine Smile - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I was given an electronic copy of this book by the author for an honest review. I strongly recommend reading the first two books in this series (The Caregiver, Torn) before reading this, as The Beast picks up where Torn left off. Due to the multitude of characters in this book, I found it to be a little disjointed at times. It was difficult to feel any connection to most of the characters because of this, with the exceptions being Scarlett, Armand, and George. The plot got lost in the shuffle, which is a shame because there are a lot of good ideas here. The abrupt conclusion to The Beast has motivated me to want to read more, as the potential for an explosive ending to this series lingers in the future.
