My 8-year-old is picky when it comes to books. She is a great reader, but she hasn't been interested in the normal books for her age, so it's been a battle at times. But, she LOVES this Battle Station Prime Series! Usually, it's a battle (no pun intended) to get her to do 30 minutes of daily reading, but not with these books! She reads over 30 minutes and doesn't want to put them down. My only complaint is that there aren't more of them. Other books my daughter has read in the past and loved include the Dragon Masters series; Dog Man and Cat Kid; Snoopy and Peanuts comics, and non-fiction books about animals.
