Oh my, this book is bad beyond words. It is a rip off of Fifty Shades in every. single. way, following a near-identical formula and story line. And yet it is so, so much worse - which I truly didn't think was possible. The characters are even more underdeveloped than Fifty Shades, with absolutely ridiculous dialogue that is completely cringeworthy.
About a third of the way in it feels as though the author forgets that the two main characters are supposed to have a personality, and the story simply becomes a string of continuous sexual dialogue and incredibly UNerotic sex scenes. The heroine is completely deranged, flying off the handle every second page or so, while the hero pleads for her forgiveness.
I was determined to finish the book because I hate giving up on a story, but I just can't push myself past the 70 percent mark.

Review
Their story is powerful and realistic, while the sex scenes are sensational ― Sun
An emotional feel similar to Fifty Shades of Grey. It is full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling story line ― Dear Author
Far sexier than Fifty Shades of Grey . . . this is an erotic romance that should not be missed ― Romance Novel News
Several shades darker and a hundred degrees hotter than anything you're read before ― Reveal
The secondary characters are just as flawed as Eva and Gideon, which makes Bared to You richer and more real to me than many of the contemporary books I've read in a while ― Romance Junkies
A sophisticated, provocative, titillating, highly erotic, sexually driven read and is extremely well done. I enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey, but I loved Bared to You ― Swept Away by Romance
This book was just incredible. I couldn't put it down! The sex was so hot and the relationship was so juicy that I just had to know what was coming next! ― Read Our Lips
Obliterates the competition . . . unique and unforgettable ― Joyfully Reviewed
It literally blew my mind and after finishing it, I wasn't able to stop thinking about it. Bared to You is an intense novel full of hardships, heartbreak, overcoming obstacles, trust, and most of all, trying to find love in a relationship that may seem hopeless. I truly and wholeheartedly was amazed by this book ― Happy Ever After
Hot and steamy . . . awe-inspiring ― Sizzling Hot Book Reviews

I loved this. I couldn't put it down. Gideon Cross is the sexiest book character I've ever read. The relationship between him and Eva is so sensual, so intense. Both of them have had such troubled pasts and clearly Gideon has a traumatic past. He relives it in his dreams. The problem is, his dreams could destroy them both, if something doesn't change. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.

My greatest regret was that I gave the series of books away and had to buy them again on my iPad. In my opinion Eva was weak as far as Gideon was concerned. He did what he wanted around other women yet she couldn't even talk to any males. I wouldn't have given into him so many times, even if she loved him, I would have kicked him to the curb.

I've only recently read this series. In the past, the suggestions that it was a shadow of Fifty Shades put me off. I think time and distance from Fifty Shades allowed me to enjoy the series more than I might have earlier. The Crossfire Series is not a literary masterpiece and condensing the series would have improved the pace and illiminated repetition, but I still thoroughly enjoyed the books and wholeheartedly immersed myself in the story.

If you enjoyed the Fifty Shades Triology, then you will LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!

If you enjoyed the Fifty Shades Triology, then you will LOVE LOVE LOVE this series 1000x more! Written 1000x better than Fifty Shades and with a lead male who you'll fall harder for than Christian Grey (I know... seems impossible right... but it is!) I went straight onto reading each book in the series because they're too good to put down and the love scenes *fans face* my god ladies you'll love it!

It is ok. I just feel I have read it before, about 20 times. In fact I have it all so confused in my head now with other similar stories that I don't know if I can trust myself to review it fairly.
Why to they lovers always have to be so perfectly beautiful? Why does the male have to be so very rich and possesive? Why does the female have to have such a low opinion of herself?
It seems very cold and formulaic.
There were things that I liked about this book, complex family relationships and a backstory with more to be uncovered. I don't think that it was enough to lure me into reading the next.

Bared to you.....

...... Is one of my all time favs!
I bought this book (and the rest of the series) almost 2 years ago and have read it several times since and it never gets old!
The start of Gideon & Eva's story....
Gideon is a young hot sexy mysterious billionaire hotshot who is instantly taken by Eva, a blonde smart sensuous edgy fun woman (although when he first meets her, she's crouched on the floor and ends up on her backside so this is an insta-love story!)
Anyways, Eva has had an abusive past and is very insecure yet dependant and she knows there's more lurking beneath the surface of Gideon.
Can the two of them overcome their pasts? Can they open up to each other? Will jealousy ruin things? Will Cary (Eva's best friend) ever stop punishing himself?
Oh the questions are endless, the drama is on going and the passion is never ending!
I loved it and can't wait to read the next book - again!!

Ok but not as good as I thought it would be

I kinda knew what I was getting into with this book, and as I did really love the fifty shades series, I thought this might give it a run for its money. It all just feel a little too close to the fifty shades stories. What I did like about this book was the underlying current of history the main characters have. In fact, I don't think I have ever read a book where so many of the main characters have "baggage" 😂. It's a reasonably enticing story. I found myself getting curious about the baggage everyone has which made me read it quicker than expected. But the ending left me confused. It just ended! There was no warning. It literally just ended. So now I have to buy the next book in the series! Good marketing tactic clearly!

Not the first time I've read this series but I keep coming back because nothing I read ever gives me the feels like this one! I just love Gideon and Eva, not to give too much away because i already know what happens but they make the best couple! Cary shows in such unique way in this first book, he's snappy and though he's there for Eva he seeks a lot more attention for himself. very very well written Sylvia xxxx

Not bad but won't be reading any sequels
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 January 2014Verified Purchase
There's an obvious comparison between this and Fifty Shades of Grey. On the plus side, the writing style was so much better. No inner goddesses and no bad grammar. On the minus side, the story line wasn't quite as exciting.
This book is basically sex with a little bit of story thrown in. There are hints at more to be told about Gideon's family circumstances and background, which will probably be followed up in the sequels. However, this story didn't quite make me bothered enough to want to read them.
The other thing which put me off was that I didn't really like the character of Eva. I got a little impatient with Anastasia in FSoG because she had a hissy fit and took off each time Christian did the slightest thing wrong. But to a certain extent I could sympathise. I'd be a little freaked out by his control and his room of pain too. But with Eva, the central character in this novel, she really didn't have much to complain about, yet as with Anastasia in FSoG, she would throw a strop and run off at the slightest provocation. In the end I wished he'd just ditch her because she deserved it.
