This is, bar none, the best engineered snap-together model I have ever seen, and it's right up there with the best engineered glue-together models the Japanese have to offer. In addition, compared with product offerings from companies like Tamiya, this thing is dirt cheap. There's really no way to go wrong. It comes with both decals and stickers, though I won't be using either since there don't seem to be any markings on the studio model. Just to be clear, the kit is not pre-painted. It is molded in two colors (red-brown and gray) and the hoses are molded in a slightly more flexible gray plastic for ease of installation. It has been a delight to put this kit together! This is what I've wanted model building to be for decades! I'll be buying the whole Bandai Star Wars line :D

This model is very good, Bandai's build quality is just fantastic. Everything fits together perfectly, I had no issues. I had a very good time assembling it, and although the directions are in japanese the pictures provided made it very easy to follow and I had no problem finding what went where. This is my 4th Bandai Star Wars model so far and I have been VERY impressed with each one. I love Bandai. In the photos you will see the raw model built out of the box and then the work I put into it, I of course added all of the grass and texture to the base.

Fun First Time Build for a New to the Hobby Person

This was my first ever model. I have been looking at getting into this hobby for the longest time. It was pretty easy to build once I was able to understand the instructions. Almost all of the parts were snap tight fit. I highly recommend getting a spru cutter and a file. There were a few small/loose parts that I needed to glue. These were hoses and a couple loose fitting parts. How ever, this was a lot of fun to build and I am really happy with how the build came out. The base is not painted nor is the model for those whom are wondering. The base is like a clay brown color and the model itself is just a plain grey. So this gives the option to paint what ever you would like to what ever level of detail.

Pros:
-Easy To follow Instructions
-Easy to cut/pull off spru
-Parts are mostly snap tight
-Great for a first time model

Cons:
-Need basic tools(file,spru cutter, glue is optional).

Kit parts are all good quality, well molded, detail is good, it would have been nice if the instructions were also in English but it's not going to be that hard to follow the construction process as the pictures are pretty straight-forward.

I've just started to build it and I'm quite impressed with how easy it is to follow the instructions, although they are entirely in Japanese it is extremely easy to follow the diagrams, parts are easy to locate, the kit is snapping together even easier, and I'm more impressed with the detail as I go along.

I'd recommend using a pair of scissor action nail clippers to remove the parts, it leaves the least amount of sprue on the part and then all you need is either an emery board or a hobby knife to do a bit of adzing to remove any left over sprue.

Originally gave this 4 stars because of the delay in delivery, but the kit is really good, and fun to build.

Worth buying.

Excellent little model kit. took me about 3 hours to put together. Miracle of injection molding. Every part fit perfectly, minimum of flash and clean up. I found only one mistake in the kit, a leg support seems to be upside down, but only for the detail, not the function. And even that is minor. I decided to leave the model unpainted, but will do some weathering in due course. Now I'm going to get the rest of the Bandai series and build them.
