Product Description

Camille Turner has returned to her home town of Rotherham to open her new business, a childrens play centre. She said she left to pursue her education but in reality she was driven away by the antics of fellow pupil Dylan Ball, whose parting shot, a photo of Camille in tight shorts, earned her the nickname Camille Toe.
After swearing revenge as she left the school gates behind her, Camille is reunited with a now older and apologetic Dylan who wants to be friends. She’d tell him to go to Hell but he does genuinely seem sorry. Plus he’s also matured into one sexy male. It’s so unfair.
But does Dylan really want to be friends or is it all an act to embarrass her once again?

Includes a Yorkshire/British glossary to teach you some rude slang ;)

What a cracking novella this is. Loved the glossary of terms with all the Yorkshire/UK slang, being from the UK, I was laughing at that even before we got to the story.
Well written and funny in all the right places, this is about Camille who left her home town 3 years previous, one of the reason was that she was tormented by her fellow pupil Dylan and ridiculed relentlessly. Returning home and once again bumping into Dylan the boy she loathed. he has now turned into a gorgeous hunk of a man- she thinks she hates him just as much. She has major issue's with him which she can't forget easily. Has he changed or is he just as juvenile and cruel as he once was ?
The humour in this book is hilarious with the banter flowing between Dylan and Camille endlessly, it will have you in stitches. Beth - Camille's best friend adds to the fun and there are laugh out loud moments that will have you wishing you were part of their friendship and some of the antics they get up to. Camille's whole family is a joy to read, especially the camaraderie between Tyler and herself who is her brother.
An excellent read, and although I have never read this author before, I certainly will be doing in future. Snow Ball's is the next book in the series to be released and is Tyler's story. Already on pre-order I can't wait to read it !!!
Not to be missed, short and of so very funny. Perfect !!!

3.0 out of 5 stars More comedic drama than romance... 25 February 2016
By Book Babe - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Dylan Ball is the source of an unflattering picture of Camille Turner which results in her living out her high school days under the moniker of Camille Toe. It’s forgotten in her years away at college, but now back in town for the opening of her new kids play center business, it’s time for a high school reunion of sorts.

Some parts of the story were cute and had mild humor. Dylan is kinda a cutie in a reformed brat bad boy way. There was certainly potential for the story to be more than what it is, but as it is it fell short for me. Overall it seemed rushed. It’s a quick read, and there’s a lot of drama over romance. Actually there isn’t much romance at all so it’s probably better classified as chick lit. If you’re looking for a sweet love story, this isn’t it.

I found this group of former classmates rather immature, and there’s so much lack of communication for characters in a post college age group, although I’ll admit I wasn’t always sure that time line added up but it could have been a cultural difference.

Told via Camille’s first person POV, Balls is the first in a standalone series. The next book features her brother, and a sample is included.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very sweet, quick read which gets 4 stars. There’s a little bit of steam which adds to this fun story. 4 April 2016

Balls by Andie M. Long begins with the typical high school athletic event: there are the stars of the game and those that assist them. Camille is our assist in this game and she feels every bit of being in the back. There are others that enter the story like Camille’s best friend, Beth, Camille’s brother, Tyler, and even Camille’s parents are an important and funny part of this story.
Dylan is in high school with Camille. In fact he shows us dangers of the social media while Camille proves that life can go on with out it.
Remember the athletic event I mentioned before? Well Camille was wearing the uniform required and while assisting, she had to stretch and the uniform did nothing to flatter her girly parts. Dylan choose that picture to share on social media and in the process humiliate Camille. Camille chooses to hold her head high, graduate and go away to college and even closing her social media accounts. After graduating college, Camille moves back home and decides to show everyone, including Dylan that she is not what that picture showed and that she is a successful, smart woman. Camille opens a child’s play center, which is a huge success.
Dylan wants to make up for all that he did wrong in high school. He’s successful in his own right and wants to prove to Camille that he liked her in high school and that picture just got out of control.

After too much to drink on a double date, someone gets the idea to go to Camille’s play center and have adult play time. A secret kiss in the dark leads to confusion between Camille and her date Jack, Dylan and Beth. Do these four make it out of the play center with their hearts intact?

A very sweet, quick read which gets 4 stars. There’s a little bit of steam which adds to this fun story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!!! 24 February 2016

As a Brit, I have to say that I loved the dialect, the inclusion of local colloquialisms and the breath of fresh air that this story brought to my otherwise dull day!
This was a short read but it was time very well spent,
Camille suffered through school and couldn’t wait to get away from the daily torment she suffered at the hands of Dylan, he really was the pain in her ass that she couldn’t wait to see the back of.
But when her stint at Uni is over she heads back home, more confident and content that she is no longer that walk over, she can hold her own and they will never make her feel the way they did again but is it all bravado or can she flex her new found muscle and make them all take notice?
I loved her confidence and her attitude she was a fantastic character but she lives in a small town and everyone knows everyone else’s business it was only a matter of time before the people and past would come knocking on her door and in some respects her confidence.
But when she meets her ex, Jack, I wasn’t sure exactly how things were going to ride out, mind you that is no different than my emotions for much of the book, the author did an amazing job of filling the story with fabulous characters that did everything they could to keep me on my toes.
Honestly it was a full time job just keeping on top of all the shenanigans, especially Camille’s mum, Oh and her best friend Beth…really in some books they would have been locked away they were hazardous to her sanity!
I smiled my way through huge chunks of the story, I laughed out loud for much of it too, really this was so funny!!!
As the first in a series, I am looking forward to the next book and I really want to hear more from both Beth and Camille’s brother Tyler.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED this book! Cant wait for the next 24 March 2016

I thought this was a really cute approach to understanding a much deeper problem today. Camille is bullied by a kid in her class, almost to the point of no return. It played such an impact on her life years later, she is still feeling the impact of it.
Dylan never in a million years thought one little picture could change things so quickly. By bullying Camille, he had put a kink in both their lives that would ripple for years to come.
Camille is determined to find her way from an early age. By 18 she was finished with high school, bullies and all behind her she goes to college and gets her degree. When she finally returns "home" years later, she is ready to start her own business, and hopefully leave the horrible, painful bullying behind her.
When Dylan sees Camille walk into the bank one day he cant believe his eyes. Then he is hit with the realization that the prank he pulled all those years ago just might still bite him in the ass. Finally after alot of persuading he convinces Camille to at least try being his friend. Things lead to so much more very quickly.
Then just as they are finding each other and themselves, a picture of Camille surfaces. With that one little photo on social media all her insecurities and doubts come flooding back. And everything points right back to Dylan. How could he have set her up to be the joke again?!
Can Camille and Dylan find the truth in time to save the new relationship? Or will the truth actually destroy them before they can make it to happiness.....
