Jessie brand has eyes only for lash she . Plans how to seduce lash but problems arise in the shape of his foster brother and his band of cattle hustlers. Jessie becomes pregnant by Glasgow to tell her four brothers never mind lash who has told her he is a loner travels light troubles arise when the brand's cattle go missing along with other cattle in the area lash traces them to Mexico to another of his foster brothers places. All hell breaks loose in a canteen lash and the brand brothers are arrested but Jessie breaks them out lash finds out about the baby tries to get Jessie marry him. Then Jessie collapses in pain rushed to hospital keeps you glued to this storyline till the very end a must read roll on book three

I have read Texas Brands books 1, 2, and 3 and they were all great. Might be a bit of a "cheesy" read for some, but the Brand Family are a close knit bunch of siblings. Each book is about a different member of the family. I've just started to read Book 4 (Long gone lonesome blues) and it's got a surprising "Twist" to the story. Well done to the author Maggie Shayne!!
