There were elements of the plotvthat I found far fetched.
The author is a midwife and the passage in the book describing the birth of a child I found very moving .
The book deals with many issues facing modern Australian society but in particular the men and women of remote rural areas.
This is a well planned and written book, and a pleasure to read. Highly recommended.
Couldn't book the story down. Give me more like this

I was hoping Sienna would find beauty in the outback, the wide open spaces and tight nit comminuty. I also felt that Douglas needed more characterization, more background. He was strong and stable throughout without any flaws.
Could have used more tension throughout, as for me the stakes weren't very high and I found it almost predictable.
