Maddix and Ali’s story is a short, somewhat steamy novella. Very similar though to the first book in the series....other than a few noted differences in my opinion.

Maddix is a disgruntled bear shifter waiting for his one true mate, after his brother found his mate recently he’s been getting more and more restless and worrying that he will never find her. Needing some time to himself and to let his bear run free he goes for a wander on the mountain to get his head straight and that’s when he catches the scent that is his mate.
Allison is at a crossroads in her life after an accident ended her ballet career a year ago. Needing to clear her head and work out where the rest of her life is leading she rents a cabin in the woods. Settling in the last thing she expects is to see a bear watching her through the window. Terrified she makes a run for it but soon realises that this is where she was meant to be.
It’s cute, quick and intense, these two are a great couple and I can’t wait for the next in the series.
The scenes are porny, and very bad. I dont think the author writes female sexuality well at all, in fact she writes like a man, or maybe an undersexed horny adolescent. Is Jenika Snow actually a 12 year old boy? Writing porn for other teenage boys? This is not a sexy book. This is a travesty to writing and plot and character development.
Utter, utter garbage.
