EDIT: Despite my initial 3 star review I have completed half the main storyline and buried just over 80 hours into this game. Some of that time was crazy difficult and had me restraining myself from smashing the controller through the TV as yet another Boss one-shotted me without even so much as a moment where I could get one hit or slash in myself.

But strangely, the game revealed itself to be the masterpiece it really is by giving you a serious challenge, and then giving you the tools to overcome and beat it.

Progressing through this game is more satisfying than any other game I have played since probably Breath of the Wild. It can be mean and tricky a lot of the time, and it annoyingly feels like it is intentionally messing with you when you get too cocky...but overall, it is superbly put together and realised once you can get your blood pressure under control.

It's not for everybody, but if you have the time and interest in facing a steep learning curve and frustrating challenge, you're going to enjoy this immensely.

ORIGINAL: "Absolutely stunning game visually, but utterly confounding and brutal in parts. Wish there was difficulty scaling to at least let the plot breathe, but you are literally smashed with opposition from the start.

I'm gonna carry on though."

1. This game is amazing, worth buying 10/10.
2. I feel this is the easiest soul game ever, because you do not have to defeat a boss to go to the next area. So if you find an are is too hard, just keep exploring the world, and you can level up and find more powerful items, and come back later.
3. Turn on online mode so you can read messages other players left, they will help you a lot (most of the time).
4. Be prepare to be ambushed and die a lot, but do not afraid them, just keep going.
5. Run away is an option as long as you are not stuck in a mist wall with a boss.
6. You can summoning other players to help you fight bosses.
7. Choose a magic class to start with, and use ranged attack, your life will be much easier.

Excellent service, excellent game. The packaging was discrete and left inside my mailbox with care. The game was delivered with exceptional timing, I am always amazed that I can order from Amazon Australia and expect game preorders to arrive on the day.

The game case itself is sleek and the extra goodies inside are varied and of high quality.

The game runs well on PS5; personally, I have not encountered issues with my game except for one bug. It is always exciting to play a new From Software game, and this time is no different.

This open world creation is beautiful and plays superbly well. The travel mechanics are awesome and the inclusion of the Steed, which once summoned, is your ticket to quickly traveling around in locales easily, without the need to warp between points (sites of grace). The game loads incredibly fast on the PS5, thanks to the SSD. I am 150+ hours in on my first play-through and still have plenty of the massive map to explore.

Fromsoft have produced a visually stunning game, tutorial is great, hints and clues help you to pick up and play with relative ease from the get go but that's about as good as it gets. The foes are ridiculously hard to defeat from the jump, I quickly became frustrated and lost interest. If you want to enjoy this game, then be prepared to invest a lot of time to play, die and repeat ... again and again ... And again..
