The latest version of Baby Carrier One Air in airy 3D mesh is designed to make babywearing much more comfortable. The cool mesh fabric has many popular qualities. It's soft and breathable, but it's also durable and dries quickly after washing. In all other respects, the baby carrier offers you the same babywearing advantages as our cotton Baby Carrier One: closeness to your child while keeping your hands free. It's easy for you to switch between several front and back babywearing positions. You can use Baby Carrier One Air to carry your child from birth and up to approx. the age of three. Perfect baby registry item or baby shower gift!

While the quality is what you would expect from this brand, they have replaced the cross ("X") design of the original back straps with two straps that go over each shoulder and connect with a thin piece in the in the back. This causes the straps to cut into me and not offer any real support. The majority of the support seams to come from the waist strap and causes discomfort after a short period of time.
This 2019 version is supposed to make it easier to fold down the head support flap so it will be out of the way when the child is facing out. I did not find that much of a difference. There are two stings that you are supposed to be able to tighten to keep it out of the way but all I could achieve was a crumpled up effect that is kind of out of the way if I keep the newborn seat zipped. Still, I could live with it if the back support straps were better.
The other major problem with this version is that if you want to tighten up the should straps to make it tighter or higher around you, it pulls on the front so it get tighter on the baby as well. This means you can only get it so tight before it effects the baby.
This entire carrier is made of mesh so it’s extremely cool and dries easily. I compared this with the Ergo Omni 360 Cool Air Mesh because neither require an infant insert. I found the Ergo to be too bulky for me in the shoulder straps and harder to put on. I live in the city so I wanted a sleek carrier that I could put on easily myself and wear sweaters and jackets over. I’ve also had success breastfeeding in this, but it does take some practice and is not as easy to do as with the Ergo because there is a mesh barrier between you and baby. I’ve worn this for hours at a time walking around the city and have felt great. Highly recommend.
Never fit well. Child feels squeezed - no real room for comfortable placement of head, it's like the straps (that end up on your chest) are too narrow. The hard buckles on the top often hurt the baby while you slide the baby in/out - they're too bulky. Also if you want to adjust how tight you want it and where you want the carrier to sit on your body - you have to pull the straps in a way that will squeeze your baby!
Baby often comes out with marks from the fabric. I don't know, feels like BabyBjlörn is living on a. past glory b. celebrities/influencers/social media. I switched to the silver color - now I wish I never had bought it. Too expensive for what it is. However it feels well made and sturdy, with quality fabrics, plastic etc
I’ve reached out to BB and got the feeling they have heard these issues and know they have failed...
- absolutely NO STORAGE! I mean what?! Seriously this needs to be changed.
- the connectors on the top are too bulky and hard and close together. My little one was really uncomfortable when she would try to rest her head.
Had to send back. I ended up going with the Lillebaby Pro Pursuit. Much cheaper, do comfortable, and so much storage.
For me the simplicity and ease of on/off is key. Also my husband is 6’2” so we need a easily adjustable carrier. The ERGO Omni 360 was a lot of fabric, bulk, adjustment and straps. I returned that and got this.
Once you practice the clasps they are super easy. The functionality is similar to the original one l so it’s pretty easy on/off.
I have a woven wrap as well but I need something that easy on/off and not hard to figure out for my husband.
This does it! I recommend this one. My son is 10 months and it’s been a nice upgrade to the original which he grew out of!
It’s fit my baby and cool her more than another carrier I had at home ( I got sweat like shower during carrying my baby upfront).
The design is convenient and smart, I only need to do 3 steps to put&lock my baby in right way as fast as 1 min.
My husband bought me another new, my mother-in-law got me a gray one for Christmas gift. I even wanna keep it, just love it. But I have to return just bc have many in extra.
Thank to BabyBjorn , you just made me have more freedom hands after Carpal Tunnel release surgery. I really appreciate the product, exciting to use everyday.
Btw, I have BabyBjorn for new born and One Air, both are Mesh materials.
Plus, the other straps are not easy to adjust while baby is in the carrier.
Baby looked cramped from the body and loose from the head.
For this price, I would've expected a big lumbar support when in fact there is none, it's a simple strap. (So the whole weight of the baby is supported by the shoulders. For someone who is dealing with back pain, it's really not what you want!)
In short, we thought it was really not worth the price.
