Avatar: The Last Airbender-Imbalance Library Edition Hardcover – Illustrated, 1 September 2020

Bryan Konietzko
(Author)
Aang faces a decision from which there is no return!
When Aang, Katara, Sokka, and Toph return to Earthen Fire Industries--the factory owned by Toph's father--Aang is surprised when their arrival is met with a cold shoulder. As soon as the team is asked for help at a business council meeting, the reason for the slight becomes clear- a massive bender-versus-non-bender conflict has gripped the town and is threatening to turn violent. In order to heal the divide and save the town, Aang and the team will all face tough decisions about power and identity that could tear them apart.
Written by Faith Erin Hicks (The Adventures of Superhero Girl, The Nameless City) and drawn by Peter Wartman (Stonebreaker), in collaboration with Avatar- The Last Airbender creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, this is the ultimate continuation of Avatar!
Collects Avatar- The Last Airbender - Imbalance parts 1-3 (ATLA volumes 16-18).

Perfeito! Livro incrível, e dessa vez a Amazon enviou em uma caixa ao invés de um saco, então não amassou.

It's Like the Show Never Ended (Review #383)
Reviewed in the United States on 30 June 2020Verified Purchase
I had heard of these comics before now but never got around to reading them. Then around a month ago I rewatched the entire series and was reminded just how great this property is. With memorable characters and incredible world building, it stands as one of the all time greats of so-called "children's animation". My second watch through left me wanting more, a more direct continuation as opposed to the Legend of Korra show. This is the latest in the line of these follow-up books, and the story marks a changeover in creative talent as writer Faith Erin Hicks and artist Peter Wartman replace the outgoing team of Gene Luen Yang and Gurihiru. The story picks up a short time after the previous team's story The Rift, playing upon the Bender vs. Non-Bender tensions later seen in Korra. This connection gives Hick's story an entertaining edge, as well as her exploration of complex that would have been right at place in the show. What really makes these comics great is the close collaboration with the shows creators, Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, which really give these stories a true sense of continuity. Wartman's art is truly brilliant too, being a great adaption of the original designs with a lot of his own artistic flare. The story of this book is fantastic, and this particular edition of it is equally so. This large hardcover volume collects the originally three part story in one, plus concept art and notes on the creative process all on thick pages. This is, and I'm sure the others equally are, a definite buy for fans of the show. Reading it, it felt like the show never ended at all.
