As always Aurora Reynolds has done a splendid job on Assumption if you liked her Until Series you will love this one it is a spin off with their cousin Kenton.
Kenton and Autumn are put together in each other's lives when she witnesses a shooting at the club she works at so a friend of hers sets her up with a hide out and that's with Kenton "the ass" he thinks she is just a stripper and sets a distance between them until he finds himself in the ER one night only to see her face and decked out in scrubs then his endless pursuit picks up pace.
It is a storyline that will have you going thru happy emotions, sad emotions and WTF moments. Well worth the reading time you won't be able to put it down.

Assumption, by Aurora Rose Reynolds was a really good read with an interesting and strong plot. The author also created appealing and well-defined characters. Kenton was a broody alpha who was also caring and protective (if a little quick to judge). Autumn was strong-willed, self-reliant, resilient and gorgeous. There was just enough dark and edgy to the plot and the characters to tantalise readers. Together, Autumn and Kenton worked their way to form a loving and deep relationship where they had each other's backs, without question. The pacing, imagery and dialogue were all good, too.
I would happily read another of Aurora's books anytime.

Assumption is a great read. The characters are flawed, sometimes annoying but most importantly they feel real. It is a little darker than the Until Series. Kenton is an ass at some points but he becomes lovable pretty quick. Autumn is attempting to be independent and follow her dreams, i found her thoughts sometimes annoying but i guess if put in the situation you dont always think logically.
Reynolds writing has advanced since her first book (Until November) though i do feel the premises for each novel is similar.
It is worth the time to get lost in the world of Assumption.

This is a grittier, more violent start to a new series by the author of the "Until" series about Kenton and Autumn. I really enjoyed the slow build to the relationship, Autumn certainly didn't fall head over heels, rather, she refused to have anything to do with him initially. I also liked her strong but sad character which got me thinking, what do child beauty pageant stars do for a job when they grow up?

Assumption is Absolutely Amazing!!. There are no other words for how amazing this book is.
I loved Kenton and Autumn, I loved how even though he was an ass she just didn't stand back and let him be an ass to her and he didn't let her shut him out when she was scared.
The hints we got of Kai have me wanting more. Next year is going to take forever to get here.
Aurora Rose Reynolds you did an amazing job on this you should be very proud of Assumption.

Love this author. I loved the 'until', series. I thought Kenton was so hot and couldn't wait until he got his own book. This author's books are hugely entertaining, her heroines tough but sweet, her hero's will have you wishing & praying for your own Alpha male, & the sex scenes so hot they have you holding your breath & sighing. Can't wait for the next book in this new series. Hurry please!

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I was expecting to. I liked this author's Until series but I felt that this book was just lacking something.
To read this book I don't think you necessarily need to read the Until series however I think it would be good if you had. Nico is mentioned a few times in the story. It has quite some time since I read Nico's story (Until Nico) and I can't really remember what happened in it. If I had realized, I think I would have re-read Until Nico before I started this book.
By the time I had finished reading this book I felt that there was still aspects of the story that I didn't feel I was told enough about. For instance, unless you are told and I overlooked it which I don't think I did, I have no idea what Kenton and 'his men' actually do work-wise. Another thing, the title of this series Underground Kings, what is that about? No idea. There was a few too many unknowns for me.
Even though this book wasn't up to my expectations, I probably would read more of this series.

Autumn is in hiding after witnessing a mob hit, the friend of a friend she is staying with us gorgeous. This could be a problem if it wasn't for the fact he is a judgemental as s. Deliberate misconceptions and a crazy ex thrown in eventually leads to them getting together, only for them to find out trouble has followed Autumn from Sin City. If you love the until series, you will enjoy this.

This is the story of Autumn/Angel and Kenton.
Autumn doesn’t know her dad and has had an awfully unhappy life with her mother as she refused to allow her to show any emotion, forced her into pageants and has never treated her with any love, she also managed to fall pregnant when she was sixteen but her boyfriend turned his back on her as he didn’t want the baby and her mum sent her off to a girls home where she was forced to give up her son – she left home as soon as she could and ended up in Vegas training to be a nurse by day and working as a kind of stripper/hostess at a gents club at night.
One night at the club Autumn is catering to a VIP party with another girl when she gets herself caught up in a mob hit, she is the only person in the room to make it out alive so after speaking with the police she is sent out to town to stay with a friend of a guy that she works with until the killer is caught. This is where Kenton comes into things.
Kenton is nice enough to Autumn until he remembers that she works as a stripper – then he becomes a very judgmental tool and he explains that he wants none of her work life coming back to his house while she stays there. Once Autumn is settled in she decides that she wants to find herself a job, Kenton instantly assumes that she has found work as a stripper and the tension mounts.
One night at the hospital, a guy called Finn is brought in with a gun shot wound and he is followed in by none other than Kenton. Once he realises that Autumn is actually working as a nurse he literally pounces on her and their feelings for each other begin to take shape but the past still haunts Autumn and people are still out to find her.
This was the first book that I had ever read by Aurora Rose Reynolds and as I enjoyed it so much I have already purchased another of her books which is now sat waiting for me in my reading queue. I thought that Assumption was a great book, I felt that it had it all – I found myself really getting into the story, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, I laughed, I swooned (that Kenton and his kisses!) and I felt that the story moved along at a great pace so I was never bored. In books like this, I usually find the lead female to be quite bland and predictable but I have to say that I found Autumn to be a real treat. The scenes between her and Cassie (Kentons ex) always entertained and the bed scene was probably my favourite as it really made me grin but then I love it when a psycho ex gets a bit of a smack down!
There wasn't anything that I disliked in this book (OK, maybe I found the baby this and baby that a tiny bit annoying but then I don’t like the word baby as a term of endearment – it find it a little sleazy when said by a man and whiny when said by a woman) but I did find that I was struggling to keep up with a few characters that were mentioned later on in the book, I felt like I should have known who they were but I couldn't remember anything being said about them in any detail so I was a little stumped – this caused me to have a look at the other books available by the author and I found that while this is the first in this series, there is actually another series of books (the Until series) which follows the names that were mentioned in this book. I don’t think that you need to read the Until series in order to enjoy this book, I enjoyed it just fine as a starting point, but if you do want to be fully clued in on the who’s who I’d say starting with Until November is a good idea – that’s actually the book that I have waiting for me now.
This book does have some sex and steamy kisses so be warned but it’s not on every page and I personally found it to be a great read – I’m hoping that the rest are as fun to read as this was!

Autumn Freeman works in a strip club, Showing off her body is all she's ever known even though it revolts her. By day she works at the hospital as a way out of stripping. Until one night some new clients come in and something goes down. Autumn is the only witness & survivor to a big time underground killing, She needs protection and out of town and fast.
Enter Kenton Mayson, Alpha male, Bounty hunter, Protector, who agrees to help out a mate and take in for a while one stripper by the name of Autumn.
All Kenton's been told is that she's a stripper so he assumes she's just like the rest of them. He wrongly makes assumptions on her as a person and her profession often his mouth running before his brain.
Autumn's no pushover she thinks he's an arrogant ass and wants nothing to do with him but fate has other ideas. Has Kenton finally met his match in a woman. These two share an attraction that they both try and fight. But Autumn has emotional baggage that threatens to destroy them together with the threat that someone, somewhere is out for her can these two make it work? or will fate intervene and tear them apart.
Loved how we got snippets from the characters from the Until series, I did enjoy this book immensely but those previous Mason Brothers (Kenton's cousins) have completely ruined me hence only the 4 star.
Looking forward to reading Kai's story, and hopefully Justin's too.

Another 5+ star read from Aurora Rose Reynolds...I was so looking forward to the start of a new series from one of my favourite authors and it totally lived up to every expectation.
Kenton was a dark & mysterious character steadily introduced in the 'until series' but Autumn was a brand new character...this book was slighter darker than previous ones by this author but I loved it just the same.Kenton when he fell...fell hard just like all the other Mayson men but he could be an 'Ass' and Autumn was totally kickass...a strong female lead who could give just as much as she was given but underneath it all wanted love and acceptance for who she was.
Once the 'Assumptions' were dealt with there was no stopping this relationship and it was full speed ahead.
It was funny...cue Tubs...it was heartwarming...it was emotional and I felt warm and fuzzy at the end....yes I totally did...really!
And what an epilogue...in fact Aurora is totally the queen of the epilogue's giving us many glimpses into the future
Amazing...thankyou again for a great start to the Underground Kings series and I cannot wait for Kai's story.
