He was manipulative throughout the whole story. Even at the end as the author tried to redeem him. I just didn’t see any turn around in him. He was the same and had not changed. Plus I didn’t feel like the author had really made Wolfe love Rachel from the beginning. I think it was a conquest for him and he eventually talked himself into loving her.
Otherwise, I did enjoy this story. I loved the intensity of the romance. I loved the obsessive quality of the relationship. I totally go for the “knock her up to keep her” trope. I would have liked if this was truly a secret baby theme as described in the blurb, but it wasn’t. No biggie, it had plenty of other qualities that I liked.
I do have to say that if she GOT pregnant 5 years ago, then 5 years later the child would only be four. Just an FYI on how that works. Smh.
Also, typical of Sam Crescent there was a ton of grammatical and some continuity errors. Besides the child’s age thing that I mentioned above. Enjoy if you can.
