Product description

Product Description

Alshandiel Dolrahn wants a new life away from the suffocating world of Qolar. But will the Diplomatic Corps be her salvation…or undoing?
The ideal assassin is young, smart and on the run.

Alshandiel feels suffocated by her home planet of Qolar. She finds her fellow Qolari narrow-minded and xenophobic and the caste system that governs her world rigid and stifling. She is looking for a way out.

The notorious Department of Other Matters deals with things the average Qolari doesn't want to know anything about—most notably, the rest of the galaxy.
It seems only natural that Alshandiel should consider a career within the casteless, outward-looking Department. But DOM holds its own secrets. And once it has you, it never lets go.

Alshaniel had thoughts of joining the DOM, otherwise known as The Department of Other Matters, where it was said that you never left its reach and only the dead quit. DOM was so secretive that only rumors floated about what it actually was. She was in her second year of schooling and she longed to get away from her strict parents and go offworld to follow her dream, but her social climbing dad was all about making a promotion to get a higher caste status and keeping her under his control! She had secretly applied at DOM and knew it was her only chance to control her life, but she never knew at what cost she had to pay! DOM would remake her, change her features and her name if she was accepted and there wouldn't be any old ties to her family or friends, did she really want to give up her old life for the unknown?

Ms. Augustine captures readers from the beginning as they travel along on the amazing transformation of Shandi that you could not put the book down and oncr it's read yell for more!!
