I thought it was a great book. I think every woman dreams of a guy exactly like Asher Valentine. I enjoyed the romance of it all and the story. Embers recovery was super interesting. Getting an understanding into what someone is thinking and feeling in that situation was really interesting. I totally got her POV and perspective on why she did certain things. Asher is just beautiful and loves Ember unconditionally. My one down part of this book would be the lack of after. I don’t want to spoil anything but I felt there should have been the scene with Ember and Kenzie toward the end. I know is Asher and Embers romance but it wasn’t the only relationship that she had so I felt that was missing.

Asher by Carian Cole is the sixth book in her Ashes & Embers series. Yet another completely and utterly heart-breaking romance told in such a way that the story devours you whole and leaves you fully sated and still wanting more. Told in dual POV between Asher and Ember, childhood sweethearts, husband & wife, parents, rockstars, and now separated by an unimaginable distance even when they are within reach of each other. I cannot begin to explain how powerfully emotional this story is. If you have read other books in the series you will be familiar with Asher and some of the story you may be about to dive into, but knowing and reading it are two very different things. This story can be read as a standalone, has cameo's from characters from previous stories, and is worth all the emotion it will pull from you. Prepare yourself, take the chance, Enjoy!

There has been so much anticipation about this book, the previous Ashes & Embers books have given us glimpses of the Asher & Ember story and I fell in love with Asher over the course of the books and just couldn't wait to read his story, it was always going to be a tear jerker.
Carian said she did research for this book and what she has achieved with their story was a heart felt, emotional, gut wrenching, rollercoaster of a ride. It's about 2 soulmates, who met when they were 15 and couldn't imagine life without each other. Asher is a rock god, Ember is a rock chick and they have a beautiful life together, until a tragedy brings it all to an end. Many would give up hope, but Asher is the most perfect partner a girl could wish for. Loyal & devoted he never gives up on Ember and after a miracle he gets her back, here starts the hard reality that she has no memory of her life with Asher.
This story is about how they deal with amnesia and what both characters go through to adjust, find their way back to each other and forge a new future together. It's a slow burn, emotional ride that I just could not put down. An absolutely amazing read and my favourite in the Ashes & Embers series. Bravo!

It has been a long and torturous wait for Asher, however every single moment of waiting has been worth it to get this book as it is.
I have been intrigued by Ember's story throughout the A & E series, however this story was more than I could have ever expected.
I knew going in that this was going to be an emotional story, however I was not expecting the toll this was going to take on me. I wanted to turn each page, however I had to put it aside a time or two to give myself a breathe.
Asher was all killer, no filler. The reader does not get a break from what is happening, so make sure you are ready to be mentally exhausted as you keep reading.
This is a story that I feel that the reader needs to just dive in and ride the wave - and make sure they have a strong grip, as they are going to need it. IT is raw, gritty andd powerful.
Asher is everything any woman (or man) could ask for in a partner. I loved seeing more of the Valentine extended family as I was reading.
I will love this book twice - now and forever

Wow, that was a rollercoaster of emotion. I knew Asher's book was not going to be an easy read, and it wasn't, but it was one of those books that just has to be read. I wanted to cry for Asher, and for Ember, both struggling with their new reality.
This book was amazing, and I'd highly recommend it. But, I still don't believe it's a standalone. I believe this book, Asher, is the only book in the Ashes & Embers series that cannot be read as a standalone. I started reading Carian Coles' books with Talon (book 4), and worked my way back. It was fine, this is not the case with Asher.
I think without reading the other books in the Ashes & Embers series, and Torn (Devil's Wolves), the book would just be this conflagration of intense emotion, which at times, almost feels like too much to bear. It is having the background and build up of Asher's character from the previous books that takes this story from just an extremely emotional book, and elevates it almost to art.

First impressions... this was hands down the most incredible, emotional and deeply moving journey of love, hope, reality and recovery in a book I have ever read. Worth a read and believe me you will not want to put it down.
The depth of feelings and understanding of TBI was without doubt proves the level of research This author went to. She puts her heart and soul into the story of Asher and Ember. She takes us on a journey of recovery with the rollercoaster emotions of learning to love the new you when the trauma is so deep as TBI, like ripples on a pond affecting everyone, family friends and loved ones.
The beautiful story of Asher and Ember was worth every minute of the wait. Carian has done herself proud with this. One book I would recommend to anyone!

I waited a long time for this book and I was not disappointed. Having read all of Carian's books Torn was always my favourite because it was my first but I believe this book has taken over top billing. Carian is a brilliant writer and this book answers all the questions but you still want more. I love all the Valentines and every book deserves a re-read. I highly recommend this book and every book that Carian has written. Please read them all, you won't regret it.

Another wonderful book from Carian. I absolutely adored it but am sad the experience of reading Asher for the first time is over.
I loved every moment and felt the introduction of characters we know and love (or hate - Sydni!) from Carian's other books was a bonus.
I think I'll now re-read Torn so that I can remind myself of all the clues to Asher's and Ember's story, then I'll read Asher again.
Carian has held out a teaser telling us Jude's story will be next. Can't wait.😉
This author is wonderfully talented and never disappoints. I envy anyone who discovers Carian's writing for the first time.

This book was beautiful; it had me holding my breath, crying and laughing. What a tough book to write, a true love story, and just shows us all love will always prevail.
Ashers determination to hold on to a smallest piece of ember was just raw, undefeated love.
I could read this beautiful book all in one go, I needed to stop and refocus and put myself in both their shoes.
Carian Cole you have surpassed yourself, it was like I was in the book with them, just hoping all will be perfect; and it is.
The wait was so so worth it. Now going in again to really truly embrace Asher and Embers love.
