5.0 out of 5 stars Thought Provoking & Entertaining ! 17 August 2015

I just finished "As it is in Heaven"....Mr. Ostroff's use of words provoked an unexpected, emotional journey through the characters experiences. Just when you think you *get* how the book is going to progress, he pulls us into another direction....(which was a bit frustrating, because it's difficult to pick a spot to put it down:)....it makes you want to keep going!
Rarely do I find myself really contemplating things AFTER I've read a book, however this one has you thinking about Life & your choices; Long after you finished the last page. A BIG Thumbs UP!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sometimes the end is just the Beginning 4 July 2015

I chose this book because I was intrigued by the title, synopsis, as well as the fact that that I enjoy spiritual reads. However, this was a little different than what I expected - still, there was a lesson to be learned... Collin Weaver died in a horrible car crash. Heaven, a silvery-haired woman appears at the accident scene like an angel of mercy, but Heaven is no angel. Collin is now stuck somewhere between two worlds - life & death & Heaven & Hell. Heaven thrusted Collin into harrowing journeies during which he must observe the final moments of young and old and ordinary and extraordinary people, as well as the final moments of life that he and his wife would have shared years later had he not been involved in this accident. Collin participated in heart-wrenching games of life and death to decode the human experience, the reason for living and dying and the meaning of everything - having fun (i.e., partying, drinking, money, or having the best and finest of things is not what makes life worth the while, it's the live you share, what you do while alive, and the impact you leave in others...
5.0 out of 5 stars Spiritual but not religious 26 June 2017

What a truly interesting read! It seemed like it would be very 'It's a Wonderful Life', but it was so much better and deeper. A super creative and compelling read. You will remember his book for a long time and, if read thoughtfully, will have an effect on your life.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quite an Interesting Read 3 January 2016

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, but once I got into it, I was glad I had picked it up and found it hard to put down. The combination of Neil Ostroff’s unfettered imagination and his ability to transcend his thoughts into an intriguing interpretation of what happens to our souls after we die made for an interesting and thought-provoking read. I will definitely check out his other books.
3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Concept 30 March 2016

Death as reviewed by this author is a quick but interesting perspective on life itself. Makes one think about the entire process especially if you are closer to the end of life than the beginning when death is only a concept hopefully far away. Seems to lean toward a Buddhism if any religion.
