Excellent book on LCHF. I bought both this and their other book "The Art and Science of Low Carb". This book is shorter, covers everything and has what you need to get started. I also really liked how it addressed physical activity and athletic training whilst on LCHF.
I would also recommend their other book although it can be pretty heavy on the science at times.
I am a few weeks into LCHF so yes a while to go but already I feel really good. The best part has been that I am no longer a slave to hunger and sugar/carb cravings. Do you know how great it is to NOT have invasive food thoughts all the time. So liberating.
This book has given me freedom and I look forward to how it goes over the next few weeks/months/years.
a great read - the reason i originally gave it 4 stars is that it seemed a little repetitive as the book progressed. maybe thats just my preferences. i have adopted an amount of what is described in here and it is making a difference to how i generally feel and can exercise. i genuinely do not miss the high carb diet that i used to consume, it takes a bit of staying power, but genuinely beneficial.
Great read for those with great or little knowledge pertaining to human physiology..really opened my mind to a different perspective on sports nutrition and I encourage anyone to read and challenge their mindset on traditional thinking..day 3 of the adaption 25 left to go !
Found this to be an interesting yet great read, Stephen and Jeff make it very easy to follow the information and make it easy to apply the principles in real life and sport. For me personally it's yielded great results
An excellent discussion of how a very low carbohydrate diet stops endurance athletes (e.g. marathon and ultra-marathon runners, iron man etc.) "hitting the wall". My only complaint is that the section on minerals only covered a few of the most critical minerals for athletes and vitamins, polyphenols and other minerals were not even mentioned at all, which might give some readers the false impression that they are not important.
