No words can do this book enough justice! I waited a year to read this book, inhaled it in a day, and I’m not sure what do with myself now! It was like Nalini poured every drop of her soul writing this book! At one stage I had to put it down, it was too much to read(equivalent to putting my hands over face when watching an action packed movie!)this book has all the feels- I cried, I laughed, I held my breath, I couldn’t read it it fast enough! Simply magnificent!!

Wow, this was truly one of the greatest stories that I have read from Nalini Singh. Her writing and imagination and storytelling just get better with every book she writes. This last chapter in the story kept me absolutely enraptured for days! There were so many different elements to this story and ebbs and flows where the tension seemed to almost always keep building without moments of boredom was truely masterful! Some of my favourite parts were the little moments of comedy and finding out why illiums mother was so fragile. These new elements so exciting. I wonder if Aohan and Suyin will become more in later books, I for sure felt a spark there! I felt a full spectrum of feels throughout this book and cried on multiple occasions, Nalini Singh does a fantastic job of getting my emotions invested in her complex characters. I cannot wait for the next books! I never want this journey to end!!!

WOW!!!!.. That pretty much sums up this book. Right from the first page it is totally full on. I can see why Nalini never dropped any excerpts prior to release for this book because it would have contained spoilers!! I am not going to give anything away in my review. All I will say is you need to read this series! Nalini is an amazing author but this book... It tooks everything she has written. It has everything. It is such a gripping powerful novel that once you start, you just cannot put it down. Team Raphael and Elena all the way!!!!

I enjoyed this a lot more than the last book in the series. I thought it might be the end of the series but instead there were quite a few interesting characters introduced and potential plot lines - Alexander and his fellow archangel, Ilium, Aodhan and his archangel, the new vampire being sent to New York from Amanat, etc. The big finale of the book was unexpected and not too bad. I loved how the legion were portrayed in this book.

I cried when the favourites are lost and even when the not so favourites are lost, laughed at the wonderful one liners and the heavy sarcasm that has created a exciting new world that I am glad to get lost in.
