These are the most recent Aravon sandals that I have purchased. I needed a backup pair to the "Rita" style (unfortunately, no longer available in my size) that I wear whenever I go out. The "Candace" style was way too non-supportive, so I am not wearing them at all. Anyway, the insoles that come with the "Katy" are very stiff. They did not help my overpronating, either, and they made my stance very unwieldy. What I ended up doing was buying a unisex Dr. Scholls insole (in black - which very closely matches the black insole), which fit perfectly except for the length (which I cut to fit). While these are lighter in weight than the "Rita," they are still heavier than the "Candace" - which is good for me.
Nevertheless, I'm still overpronating. In the "Katy," I must use my walker if I am out on my own and even then, must take baby steps to help prevent falling. My main complaint is that the soles are so slippery! - Slippery both on carpet and pavement. The "Rita" style is not like that. So, if any of you potential buyers of this style are disabled in any way in terms of your feet and/or legs, I don't recommend. (By the way, I can no longer wear closed-toe shoes and have extremely wide feet so I am forced to wear Aravon sandals (with socks) as an alternative all year round. Othewise, I would wear very supportive shoes). I don't go out unless the pavement is dry.
Ideal for warmer weather, the Aravon Katy is a wedge sole sandal which offers functionality and comfort to those who need it the most. With easy on/off hook and loop closures, just slip these Aravon women's sandals on and be ready for whatever your day may bring. A removable full-length insert of ABZORB cushioning provides added comfort for this women's wedge sandal. Ionact Antibacterial Protection helps keep the Aravon Katy free from odor-causing bacteria while soft-seam linings have been pounded smooth and insightfully placed to avoid irritating your foot. Gurantee yourself both comfort and style with the Aravon Katy!
