Well, I have to say, within the first few pages, I was beginning to be won over. Allan and Barbara start with the science, which is perfect for someone like me. I haven't yet finished The Answer but have already been using some of the ideas I have read.
For regular readers of self help books, this one may not provide any major new information, but for sceptics like me, providing a scientific base for the authors method is a sure way to keep the pages turning.
If you're new to the genre, then it's probably a good first book to read.
If you've read other self-help books, then don't bother. You probably know it all anyway!
Having said that, there were good aspects, the writing down of goals was something I have never tried doing and will be trying in the future. Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend this book, it was ok but there are better options out there.
