Dylan has used his love of the fantasy world to his advantage as he creates video games, his newest prototype has just been bought and he has inherited a mansion from his estranged grandfather, Dylan discovers long hidden secrets at the mansion and Dylan has difficulty believing that his fantasies are really true. Ansleigh has waited a long time for his Cosantoir to return to him, but Dylan remembers nothing of their time together. As Ansleigh charms Dylan back into his life a terrible evil stalks them, determined to claim Ansleigh and rid the grotto of Dylan. Will Dylan remember the love he had for Ansleigh and fight for what is his or will the evil get what he has hunted for centuries?

This is a great little fantasy story, where the fae world overflows in the human realm and love can fight a great evil. Dylan hasnâ(tm)t been to his grandfatherâ(tm)s mansion for fifteen years so is surprised when he inherits it, not one to look a gift horse in the mouth he heads to the mansion to live there for a year as stipulated in the terms of the will. Ansleigh has waited for Dylanâ(tm)s return and discovers staying away from the man is harder when he is so close, but Ansleigh made a mistake fifteen years ago and now he has to pay the price because Dylan doesnâ(tm)t remember him or the estates secrets.

I really enjoyed this story and the way it was written, the magic comes forth as soon as Dylan enters the estate and we are then led on a journey which combines fantasy lore, sprites, fae, pixies, elves and other magical creatures with the human world but also adds danger and love.

5.0 out of 5 stars A love story with a bit of everything! 29 January 2015

Ansleigh's Grotto is about Ansleigh and one very lucky Dylan Mathews! The story starts off with Dylan receiving Ansleigh his grandfathers home. After returning to Ansleigh , Max learns there is more to his new home than he remembers from his previous time there growing up. From the very first page you are sucked into the pages. The story is so well written it is like you are transferred into the book and can see the story play out before your very eyes! This story that I have to say is one of the best i have read in awhile. With all the elements of this story i really think anyone would love this story.

5.0 out of 5 stars !!!! MAGNIFICENT~UNFORGETTABLE !!!! 2 February 2015

As snow stacked up outside my window, I was transported to a magnificent grotto. It was described in such a way that you could almost smell the flowers on the light breeze or touch the new leaves as you passed by. It was a truly unique and beautiful place. This story was captivating from the very beginning. The relationship between Ansleigh and Dylan is complex and predestined. This is a paranormal story with characters and dialogue that will keep you entertained and laughing all the way through. When the main characters get together it is beautiful, hot and extremely sexy. The story itself is exciting and satisfying until the very last sentence. Once again J.T. Cheyanne has written another amazing, warm, masterpiece. If you are looking for a story filled with enchantment and wonder, then this is the book for you. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Very Pleasant Surprise 11 February 2015
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I wasn't sure what to expect when this book was recommended to me, the fantasy aspect had me questioning what to expect. I am so happy to say I gave this book five stars and it was a very pleasant surprise. Dylan and Ansleigh are magic together, yes that's a pun, it is however a well deserved one. From the very first chapter the grotto and everything in between comes to life as the author brings you into their world with very well written characters and as the story develops it pulls you in making you root for the love between Dylan and Ansleigh. Two of the other characters, Shea and Grail made me laugh and were a very integral part of the story. The love between Dylan and Ansleigh is special and I would love to see a sequel just to see how they have progressed in their love story.
5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent read 10 September 2015

This book caught me off guard with how much I enjoyed it. I went into it thinking that it was just going to be a quick paranormal-type read, but by the third chapter I was so drawn into the story that I couldn’t put it down and ended up staying late finishing the book.

The world that Cheyanne created was one that was very well thought out and detailed – without going overboard on the details. Cheyanne was able to draw me into the story and left me wanting for more of the world created by the time that I had finished the book.

The characters were really well written and each had their completely own personalities, even the secondary characters. I do have to admit though I was a bit confused with Dylan’s past, and the relationship between Ansleigh, but I was able to completely follow along and enjoyed getting to follow along with their relationship.

The action and suspense that was happening in the book totally kept my attention as well. The scenes at the end of the book completely added to it all and I didn’t feel like it was forced in the slightest.

Overall I completely loved this book and I hope that Cheyanne will give us more of the world created in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Solid Story 24 March 2015
By GGR-Review - Published on Amazon.com

Ok, right from the beginning let me say I am a huge lover of all forms of fantasy. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Sword of Shannara, any and all fantasy! And if we were still giving out stars, this book would get the highest number allowed.

What a wonderful book. It is such a great, fun read. It’s fast paced, imaginative, and the characters are loveable mysteries.

Ansleigh’s Grotto by J.T. Chayenne is the story of Dylan Matthews, a video game designer whose life is about to take a turn that no unsuspecting human would ever even dream of. It all starts when Dylan inherits his rich grandfather’s home, lands, and everything except small stipends for the rest of the family. He had been real close to his grandfather, but when he and his father had a huge falling out, he left the manor and hadn’t been back, so Dylan was as surprised as anyone else when the lawyer told him of his inheritance. There was one catch that went with the will; he had to spend a year on the estate, Ashleigh’s Grotto, living in the manor home. He is not a prisoner, he may come and go, but his main living place must be the manor.

Dylan accepts the terms of the will, and moves into the manor. And this is where the fun of the book really starts. Nothing is as it seems, from the staff to the land itself.

Magical things start happening, unexplained terrors, and unexpected characters.

Dylan slowly starts realizing that his past and the present are directly connected, and that he has been here before, and remembers that something wonderful had started here. But why can’t he remember these things?

Enter Ansleigh, the man who lives in a section of the property known as the Grotto, from where the name of the estate originates. Ansleigh has been on the property for many years. He is alone, and wishes he would finally meet the man he has waited so long to appear. He and Dylan have met before. Their lives are intertwined in such a way that the estate and their lives are interlaced.

And poor Dylan! What is real and what is fantasy? Such strange occurrences keep happening around him, and he thinks he is finally cracking up. But as the story progresses, Dylan learns to accept his heritage and his place in the world that is Ansleigh’s Grotto.

I so enjoyed this book. It is so different than most that I have read. It falls into the m/m fantasy category so well. The descriptions are so colorful and well described that you can see the land, feel the magic and the horrors as you read. You grow to love the different characters, and you are continually surprised at the twists and turns of this wonderful book.
