He searches, waits and watches for the perfect one…

Psychic, Cora O’Donnell doesn’t care what the majority of people think about her. Her new age shop, Mystic Moons, is successful and now dark, strange dreams are keeping her busy. Rogan Duran, ex-military, is tracking a killer he swore he’d find if it took him the rest of his life. What he doesn’t plan on, is a woman he thinks is weird. Rogan tells himself he’s just sticking around to keep Cora safe. Cora doesn’t want anything to do with the know-it-all, she just wants her peace back, and no amount of yoga is giving it to her. But she can’t argue with one fact. There is a killer out there and not only can she sense him, she’s got what he wants….eyes a pale hypnotic blue. She knows sooner or later she’ll be the next woman the killer goes after…

The one with Angel Eyes…

4.0 out of 5 stars Read it in one day! 6 March 2013

I recently discovered Jaycee Clark as an author and am very happy with her novels. This is another one that does not disappoint.
'Angel Eyes' is the story of Cora and Rogan. Cora is a psychic who left Seattle for Sedona, AZ to get away from the crime and the nightmares. She 'sees' crimes in her dreams.
Rogan is a former army hero who was injured and is now just floating through life as a reporter for the Washington Post.
3 years ago Rogan's girlfriend was murdered and Rogan was accused of the crime. Though he was eventually released, many think he still had something to do with it. Many women seemed to disappear wherever Rogan was located. Even though there was never enough evidence to bring him to trial, he's always been trying to clear his name.
When Rogan gets restless he ends up in Sedona, where he meets the lovely Cora. They have an immediate attraction and then Cora's dreams really start haunting her. When she finally admits to Rogan what she had been dreaming, the similarities between her dreams and Rogan's former girlfriend are striking. Cora dreams that every woman that has been killed had blue eyes. After the killer has killed the woman, he takes out her eyes and places them in jars to "watch over him like angels".
Rogan and Cora try to put together the pieces and figure out who the killer is because Cora has blue eyes and she's dreamed that she's the next target.
I really enjoyed this book. As you can tell in my title, I read it in one day. The reason I left out a star is because I wish there had been a little more character development. It's mentioned that Cora had previously been working with the Seattle police with various cases but nothing else. It's mentioned that something happened to Rogan in Afghanistan while trying to rescue soldiers, but nothing else. Randomly the author will throw something into the story that doesn't really seem to fit, other than to answer a given question. It's like she just threw out a convenient tidbit just to appease the readers. I've noticed that on a few other of her books too. Not a huge deal, but a little disappointing.
All in all, a great read. I'll continue reading books by Jaycee Clark. They're fun, full of suspense, with a little smut thrown in. The trifecta of novels. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars different from my norm 28 February 2015

Liked this book. Love her deadly books. Couldn't put them down. This one took me a little getting use to. Not one to read about people seeing things. But it was not over baring and the book wasn't focused on just that. It threw me with so many twists and turns I didn't know who did it. That's how I like to be be kept guessing. After a while I couldn't put it down either.

A very pleasurable read. For some reason, I really enjoyed that it made me laugh in a few spots. Short? Well, it's about the same length as a Harlequin and is the price.

I recently discovered Jaycee Clark. Sor far I have read 5 of her books and have been impressed. She writes an excellent story and keeps you on your toes. I am a fast reader and many times finish her books in one sitting as I cannot put them down.

Try it, you'll like it!!
