1. no optical out (not a big issue but an annoyance) 2. the cpu was not the one described in the description. 3. could not decode 4k. (even connected to my gige network) it stuttered and stopped.
The second issue was a major issue. The description mentioned a RockChip 3318 (which is not the best isn't a bad chip.) The device came with a RockChip 3018, which is a low power, low feature version of the RockChip chips. It's slow, and doesn't perform.
There are much better devices out there. I'd recommend the Wetek Hub, which while considerably cheaper, has been able to decode everything I've thrown at it.
Also it's able to do bitstream audio out. Which with Kodi means 7.1 Dolby-TrueHD with Atmos, DTS-HD, and a number of other audio formats.
We are very satisfied with this product. We did use our own HDMI cable instead of the one in the box (the cable provided dropped out every now & then) & connected a logitec keyboard mouse combo which works well. Initially we did have problems with the Netflix app but we got in touch with Easytone & it was resolved within a couple of emails. The customer service is pretty good. Now we have Android on our TV & are enjoying all the features.
Very disappointed . It reeks of cheap material, the UI is bad, the remote even worse. Some important apps like Optus Sport and Disney Plus not available. It drops connectivity via wifi (router 4 meters away). The ui and apps stutter. Resetted, restarted twice, even added a new launcher... all this work and the 4GB RAM, cpu can’t seem to cope at all... is this even 4k??
