Review: 3 1/2 out of 5 stars
I have been eager to read a Becca and Krista Ritchie book for a while now and after seeing the praise for Amour Amour it was an instant buy for me.
Characters: Our main characters are twenty-one year old Thora James and twenty-six year old Nikolai Kotova, Thora has left college to pursue her dream of being in the circus so she makes her way to Las Vegas to audition for a part in Aerial Etheral, her dream has been to be an aerialist since she was fourteen. Thora was a sweet character, persistent, courageous and eager to please, I adored her passsion and her determination. Nikolai, also known as the God of Russia is a fourth generation acrobat and the lead performer in Amour, an acrobatic show on the Vegas strip, to Cora he was exciting, passionate, honest and loyal – he believed in her and pushed her to her limits; I must admit he didn’t appeal to me in the initial stages of the book, his cockiness turned me off but by the end of the book I adored him. The side characters were each likeable, I loved the Kotova family and John was hilarious!
Storyline: We follow Thora in her pursuit to follow her aspirations to be in the circus as an elite aerialist, it wasn’t easy for her financially, physically or emotionally and the auditions didn’t always go her way but with Nikolai’s help in training her to be the best she could be she pushed through, it was a brutally honest and passionate book and I loved learning more about the circus way of life and the hardships that go along with it.
Romance: Unfortunately, I didn’t feel the connection and the chemistry between Thora and Nikolai, it was a romance that wasn’t rushed but they seemed so different and I saw them more as student/mentor rather than anything more most of the time. I was actually enjoying the interactions between John and Timo more which I thought were hilarious. The romance didn’t take away from the overall storyline
What I loved: The writing is superb, the descriptive circus setting was wonderful and the theme of the story was unique amongst others in this genre. I really enjoyed the family dynamic in the book, Nikolai’s devotion and loyalty to his siblings was truly delightful, the banter and dialogue was written extremely well and the overall message of pursuing your dreams despite the consequences was an important aspect.
Favourite quote: He is selfless, dedicated and wholly determined – the most responsible twenty-six year old, the most mature man. He is power and strength. But most importantly, he is love. And family.

I am not going to lie, I am a HUGE fan of Krista and Becca Ritchie... their Addicted Series and the spin-off Calloway Sisters series are easily my favourite series of all time. I have read both series more times than I can count. So I downloaded Amour Amour without hesitation, and then all of a sudden I got worried. I was worried that I was putting such huge expectations on what is really a "new" book, a complete change in direction to their other series. What happens if this doesn't meet up to my expectations, how disappointed was I going to be...
Well that was a stupid waste of emotion :) this book is amazing. The story line differs so much from the Addicted series but the writing is faultless, the characters compelling, exactly what we would expect from our dynamic duo.
I got to the end of the book after 2 hours, turned around and went back and read it again, just so I could re-experience the magic. I actually think I loved it more on the second reading. This to me is a mark of an exceptional book. And now the circus is part of my family.

This is the first book I've read from these authors. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was drawn into the story and it's characters. I also reading about something different like the circus. I will definitely be looking at other work from these two.

Not as gripping as the Calloway Sisters series but very enjoyable. Bring the Calloway's back please! Great writing style -
TOP 50 REVIEWER
I've only just finished reading Amour Amour, the first book in the Aerial Ethereal series, but I'm already wishing that the authors wrote more than the 2 books that are available in this series. The Kotova family - a whole new family with a lot of family members to fall in love with!
Nikolai " God of Russia " Kotova and Thora James have a very interesting introduction, and their slow burn romance had me glued to my iPad waiting to see what was going to happen next. I really enjoyed the setting of an acrobatics show, Thora was so determined to follow her dream and perform in one of the shows.
I loved Nikolai's siblings and how devoted he was to them. Fingers crossed for lots more Thora and Nik appearances in Infini.

Great Circus Romance
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 December 2014Verified Purchase
Amour Amour by Becca and Krista Ritchie is a sexy, absorbing and stunning New Adult romance novel. I loved the circus element to the storyline; I like how refreshing it is to see an acrobat as the male lead and the strength and intensity of Nikolai will have readers wanting more male characters like him.
The opening of Amour Amour makes it seem like the book will be incredibly raunchy but sex scenes don’t actually have the largest of roles. There is still steaminess, a few light sex scenes and incredible sexual tension. I loved the balance in this book as the storyline and character development didn’t get lost in the sex as I am starting to see happen more and more in NA romance nowadays.
For me the circus element was incredible as I love dance, acrobatics and aerial arts and so know a lot of the terminology and about how prestigious circuses like the fictional one here generally work. However you don’t need to know any of that stuff to enjoy the book, the romance is the main element of this book and everything that you need to know about the acrobatics is well described.
The chemistry between Thora and Nikolai is electric and passion practically sizzles off the page. The romance develops fantastically too, it has the perfect amount of tension and the pacing is on point. My favourite thing about Amour Amour was the character development, both Thora and Nikolai grow so much and overcome fears and insecurities’ to be better people by the end of the book. I also love Thora’s dedication and passion to her art, she is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve her dream. This makes her the type of “strong” female character that I love (though she can be a bit whiney at times).
Amour Amour also has a cast of fantastic secondary characters, my favourites being Luka and Daniel but I don’t want to give too much away so you can learn more about them by reading the book :P
I wasn’t the biggest fan of how this book resolved itself as I thought it detracted from Thora’s strength, commitment and dedication to her art. However there are still worse ways it could have ended and it wasn’t terrible. In fact I liked the very end, just not how it got to that point.
Overall this is a wonderful, unique read that I 100% recommend. There were a few elements, such as the aforementioned ending, that perfected it from being a 5 star read in my mind but I still really loved it.

OMG I loved this book. I don't know why all this time I've been procrastinating reading Becca and Krista Richie books I feel like I need more convincing, well Amour Amour just did that and I'm more than convinced so much so I've one clicked all their books to start my book marathon after weeks of book hibernation. Amour Amour is all about love, family, passion and achieving our dreams even if it seems so hopeless. I loved Thora my heart goes with her every time she is knocked down but her resilience and determination is so admirable you wish she's one of your best friend. And Nikolai best book boyfriend there is. I don't think I give this book justice with my review all I can say is I loved this book so much. Thank you Becca and Krista Ritchie I'm a fan xx

I really liked this. It just missed out on five stars.
I seem to have an obsession with circuses/street performers and this pulled me in really quickly. It pulled at my heart strings in lots of ways. The Kotova family. Her passion. His passion. John and Timo. *sigh*
I'd love to read more stories like this.

I am a huge fan of the Addicted series and as far as I'm concerned the Ritchie sisters can do no wrong. I love the places these books take us to. Amazing characters, amazing chemistry. A must read. The Addicted series is my favourite series ever! I loved Amour Amour. I was bit worried about the subject being the circus but this book was amazing. Loved it.
