"It is a pleasure to meet you, Ambassador. I'm Isabella Piori, your Attaché's new assistant."
"Is that right?" This man riveted me. I was in a trance. He was raw sex in a tux and nothing like I had ever seen before.
He entered my life like an unexpected storm out of nowhere. I couldn't help myself and I didn't want to. He was beautiful, rustic, and confident. There was something between us when our eyes locked onto each other. It was electrifying. I had never wanted anything so much in my life.
His love changed me and made me stronger. He made me realize that my life could be so more. But it hurt. I hurt. I became someone else.

After reading a few pages of this book, I didn't want to continue as the writing was rather weak. However, I had my iPad with me during a long wait for an appointment so I picked it up again. And I am very glad I did. Even though there are typos, a lot of passive voice and incorrect French references, the story is good, really good. It is definitely worth reading.

In the end, I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters and how they related to each other, even though I found Isabella (the main female) a tad too horny in the beginning. Despite that, this is a true love story and not just great sex. (The love scenes were hot) But loving too, which is my personal preference.

I did understand Isabella's roller coaster emotions, especially after her former relationship had caused her to lose trust. Fabrice's understanding of this also, showed him as a true knight in shining armour and a man deeply in love. Beautifully done.

I agree with an earlier reviewer that an editor is needed here. Having said that, I can't wait to read the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars #ScorchingHOT 12 August 2015
By Jennifer Pierson: The Power of Three Readers - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
OMG, I was completely BLOWN AWAY by this story! Never read a book about the political arena, nor by this author, but I LOVED The Ambassador and ME, and Mia Villano TONS!!!!!!!!!

Isabella Piori is a beautiful, sassy, and smart 26 year old. She comes from a loving, successful Italian family. All the kids go into the family business, but Isabella pursues a career in politics instead. She lands her dream job at the French Embassy, as the assistant to the French Attache'. Before she starts her new job, she attends the Starlight Gala, where sparks instantly ignite when she meets the French Ambassador. Isabella is no where near ready to fall in love, but there's a powerful pull to Ambassador Fabrice Arbidoux. He feels it too, as he can't keep his eyes off of her. However, both of them carry deep secrets. Will Isabella and Fabrice take a chance on something new and exciting?

Good Lord, I'm still fanning myself from the explosive sparks and panty melting SMOKIN HOT sexy scenes! I was 100% swept away by their scorching hot, amazing romance (yes I know I'm repeating myself but the story was that HOT). Mia Villano developed her amazing characters fabulously, and I fell HARD and FAST for Isabella and Fabrice. She is extremely talented with her smooth writing style that is full of substance and intellect. The brilliant way she catches your attention from the beginning, will last long after you finish the book. I wish I could give more than 5 stars as it deserves more, and I may be gushing at the point, but The Ambassador and Me is EPIC! CANNOT WAIT for the next book, and CANNOT recommend it HIGHLY enough!

5.0 out of 5 stars From the Senator to the Ambassador!! 12 August 2015

What can I say- Mia Villano has hit it out of the park again- From a Senator to an Ambassador- This book made me laugh and cry- Isabella will keep you enthralled with all her ups and downs in her life and her roommate Avery will keep you in stitches laughing. Fabrice the ultimately hot Ambassador is another man that will make your heart throb and keep you hot in lots of places throughout the whole book. This book has lots of ups and downs and will keep you interested till the very end! I do sense another deeper darker side in Fabrice that will keep us on the edge of our seats waiting for the next book in the triology- And by the way if you haven't read Loving the Senator you need to!! This author can really rock the sexy parts!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars The art of erotic diplomacy 4 January 2016
By Vox Libris - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
When Isabella meets Fabrice, she instantly knows that this man is going to change her world. There is a palpable sexual attraction, but she also senses an emotional connection. She isn't sure which one will overwhelm her more.

One thing is quite clear: Isabella is a sexual creature. She's been in the clutches of a bit of a dry spell due to a horrific incident involving an ex-boyfriend. Residual fears cloud her, yet she desperately wants to rock the headboard with Fabrice. He makes it clear that, in the words of my main man Christian Grey, his sexual tastes are singular. Isabella will either submit to him and reap the fruits of that singular taste, or not.

As erotically charged as this book is, Mia Villano also includes a romantic, emotional element as well. Isabella and Fabrice need to learn to trust each other, and this entails opening up and sharing confidences. It's easier for her, perhaps because she's younger and more trusting, despite what happened with her ex-boyfriend.

Isabella's immaturity will annoy you at times, to the point where you will wonder if Fabrice can't do better. Her mode of problem solving is to run. Do not ask questions, seek no clarification, just RUN. Fabrice is stuck chasing her (more than once), and honestly, after the first time, I would have kicked her to the curb. He apparently believes Isabella is his soulmate, so he's far more willing to suffer her histrionics than most other people would be. By the end of the book, though, I started to have hope for Isabella. She seemed to be maturing, growing out of her childish responses when things don't go her way. I have not read Book 2, but my hope is strong.

Another thing I hope for is a stronger editor for Ms. Villano. I know it's the English major and English teacher in me, but good grief, LEARN SOME GRAMMAR. "Her and I"? Seriously? I almost threw my iPad across the room when I encountered that, which came on the heels of missing apostrophes and other problems. It's a turn off, to be sure.

Fortunately, Fabrice is a TURN ON. He's all Gallic and swarthy and has that dark, tortured thing that works well in Hot Heroes. He's also successful, cultured, and learned, and - AND - he knows how to please a woman. Oh, he'll make you beg for it, but you'll love every minute. Le sigh. The one thing Mia Villano does quite well in this book is write the sexy times. They are wonderfully detailed, and they will inspire you to seek your own release. If you know what I mean.

5.0 out of 5 stars HOT AND SEXY, EVERY GIRLS DREAM 11 August 2015

Wow this book will knock you off your feet. It is hot, it is sexy, and you will totally fall in love. The sexual chemistry between Isabella and Fabrice is electrifying and you will be swept away and left enchanted, and wanting more.

Right from the first moment Isabella Piori and Fabrice Arbidoux The French Ambassador meet you know they are meant to be together. They both keep secrets and slowly they allow each other in and learn to trust each other, but throughout this book they are sexually charged and totally possess each other.

Isabella is young and hot tempered at times has doubts in Fabrice’s love and you just want to slap her. All she really need to do is talk to him, and tell him how she feels.

You will fall in love with Fabrice he is sex on a stick, he is patient and his love for Izzy never faulters. Its not all smooth sailing between them but Fabrice never gives up.

Mia Villano has a way with words that will have you captivated and wanting more, you won't want to put this book down until you read the final word and then you will hope the second book will be out soon. This is a wonderful book one you will read again and again.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would, I can't wait to read the next book to see where this affair, love story goes. What twist and turns are to come. I loved this book and so will you.
