I've bought this on the 31 May 2014 and today in 2017, sturdy as hell and still comfortable, can't say the same about my previous backpacks.
This thing has been through several holidays and camping activities including the general everyday college run. It used to even hold my old P.E. kit; let's see if this can make it upto Uni 🤣
Lots of room for just about anything, would seriously consider this again, however, I did originally get this a couple of years ago, manufacturing process is probably the same though.
I reluctantly relinquished my tattered old school favorite VANS backpack I use for work and replaced with this bag. It is everything I wanted and more. ((Attached a bunch of pictures))
I like the small zip pocket on the front for charging cables and the nice touch for a tablet to be stored in its own pocket in the main laptop compartment. I have a small ultalite tosh laptop which fits with loads of room to spare, combined with notepads and paper etc. The dedicated laptop space (10.5" wide).
I've used as an overnight bag also, however you will need some planning before hand, but it will take clothes etc.
The stretchy bottle holders are solid, the back support is great and the handle loop is well constructed.
It handled a fair weight of things inside, and being fairly thoroughly stuffed full of the various bits and pieces on this trip and subsequent ones. The zips are strong, it's well-made. It's pretty much anything but basic. And I'm considering getting another for my husband to use.
Inside the bag, there is loads of room. Three huge sections, all with smaller pockets inside so you can organise everything you put in it. As I use mine for Uni, the smaller section has my notepads and pencil case, and I have put two pens in the pen holders inside. The middle section is big enough to fit a lever arch file and has another large back pocket, and the largest section I use for my MacBook, charger and powerbank for my phone. This section also has a pocket that would fit an iPad (9.7”) or other similar size tablet, and a space for a smartphone too.
Overall, I am very impressed with this bag and feel that it is reliable, durable and will protect my laptop, books and notepads from damage if it rains. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good quality backpack but doesn’t want to spend loads of money. I will update this review after a few months of use to see if my opinion has changed.
Sure this bag is mainly for a 15" laptop, but it's still functional for other items! The rear holds a compartment that's made for a 15" laptop (Holds my currently 10.5" tablet), but it's the compartment next to that that holds most of my stuff; a lunch box, water bottle, mug and battery charger. A third compartment at the front is the smallest of the compartments (Excluding the pocket at the very front) which is great for storing cables and documents.
For a 15" laptop bag, this is a very big bag; not just in capacity, but general size.
Material seems to be holding out well, nothing has torn yet (owned for 2 months) and doesn't seem anywhere near close to tearing. Feels comfortable to carry, padding works very well.
I would highly recommend this to people who don't have the money to go out and pay for an expensive tech bag. Yes the more expensive bag would have a lot more storage and better quality. But for the price it's a very good deal.
like a loser i researched so many bags, the wife thinks I'n daft but i like to research things! this ticked the boxes for size, design and colours.
i carry a 15.6" dell laptop plus ipad, then a variety of chargers & cables, and a4 notebook, smaller notebook, portable battery charger and various pens/business cards and other small items. i even had a chromebook in there with it all once and it coped no problems.
well made bag, great price and another amazon basics winner.
the first one i got was clearly a returned item; it still had some papers in from the previous user: I flagged it with amazon and they replaced it immediately.
I have used this bag for about 3 months now and already the handle has fallen off - completely ripped through the cheap nylon. It's also incredibly uncomfortable when there's any amount of weight inside of it, as the arm strap material curls and digs into my shoulders. Not great for long city journeys.
If you need a cheap, basic bag for school or travel, this is probably fine. If you need something a bit more rugged for everyday work, look elsewhere.
It's a black bag that fits my laptop in with a nice well sized, cushioned pouch and lots of handy places for my plugs, drives and all the other stuff that goes with tech these days.
I can tell that this isn't going to last forever but given the price who cares. I know I can get more than a years use out of it so if I need to get another I will.
