Prime worked until 10 days ago, now all I get is 1055 error. CS is no help, they expect me to call the USA from Australia, not happening. A complete waste of time. I will be cancelling my subscription.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awesome App If You Don't Enjoy Your Privacy! 6 November 2015

Let me start by saying this: I love Amazon video. I think it's fantastic and a great complement to being a Prime member. However, when I downloaded this app (And the Amazon Underground App) it required me to give Amazon permission to my camera, microphone, pictures, videos, contacts and all other personal information that may be stored on my phone. I absolutely HATE this. And as we all know, you cannot download an app without agreeing to their ridiculous, privacy shattering and invasive user agreements. I download all kinds of apps pretty regularly and have NEVER seen one with a UA so invasive. I really, really, really love using this app but I do not believe it's worth giving up every ounce of my privacy to use it. I will be removing it and all other Amazon apps asap. I recommend Amazon change the UA immediately or people stop downloading the app until they make the necessary changes.

1.0 out of 5 stars Is this a real app? No. 13 April 2016

These Amazon apps are exceptionally annoying to use. Just installing them took far, far too much time and effort (and retrying). The video app crashes every time I rewind (or fast-forward), which is highly annoying when I pause and walk away for a few minutes -- I end up having to re-watch the movie/show or (more typically) just watching it on netflix/hulu/google, where everything generally always works.

And as every single other person has said for the last 2 years.... chromecast!!! Hello, Amazon? Are you there? Don't ignore Google, that hasn't worked well for anyone (not even apple). I have an app-enabled TV, but the Amazon app (which, for my TV, hasn't been updated in over 2 years) simply crashes when I try to open it so I don't even bother.

BTW, for the last 20 minutes, I've been "downloading" an Amazon video app update. I wonder how many times I'll have to force quit and restart before it finishes...

Give up, Amazon, and meet the standards of Google Play and join the new millennium.

2.0 out of 5 stars Way too much work for something so useless 23 November 2016

App was incredibly difficult to find on Android. I installed 3 separate Amazon related apps just to get Amazon Video. All these apps were not at all user friendly in regards to finding the playable Videos, they were all too focused on shopping. The worst part is that it doesn't work with Chrome Cast. They do have content not available on other streaming services but now this is useless to me because I'm not watching videos on my phone and I have no plans on purchasing Amazon Fire.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously? Just publish this in the play store already... 17 September 2016

I'm so sick of this app constantly asking to update. There's an update each week, and because it's not a play store app, it needs permissions for unknown sources. For a while I ignored this, and just chose not to update because I was sick of the nag (I let it update on my tablet since I use that more, but let it lapse on my phone). Today I decided to update the app on my phone... but it's looping updates. It looks like it's incrementally picking up each release version since my last update. This is ridiculous and has drained my battery ~20% in just the last ~10-15 minutes of looping installs.

I'm likely going to just have to forego having this app installed on my phone if this continues. Please just either make the update easy, or conform already and release it in the play store so I don't have to enable/disable unknown sources for these incessant updates.

1.0 out of 5 stars Backslap to the Face! 23 December 2016

Wow Amazon!!! Terrible! I downloaded this on my phone, and I love Man in the High Castle; however this is bull****! You tell me I already got the app, yet you wont give me the option to install it on my tablet? Are you people that conceited that you can't just qork with your prime members?! Instead you force people to not be able to enjoy your service because you can't put your simple programs and I mean SIMPLE, hardly worth mentioning compared to other services of the same. Why don't you stop slapping your Prime members across the face and actually five us what you want. I swear you are the only company that doesn't cater to their clients. Give me AMAZON Video in the Google play app, or let me download this thing on another device such as my tablet!
